to all those who've had their cars mapped now..........
how long does it usually take to do, I'm booked in for saturday 10th july @ 12pm, and need to know as I am taking the missus with me, and got her booked in for a full body stress relieving massage and manicure and pedicure, which should take about 3 hours
ps, she still doesn't know I'm getting it mapped yet

Same here the cars runing alot smoother and comes on boost much quicker. It feels alot more powerfull too. I expected more power as i had a lot of modifications done beforehand (runs at 20psi). Needs some attention to IC pipes and up-pipe then will be taking it on a RR day and see what its producing.
The power delivery is much smoother whereas it was alot more raw and instant before the re-map.
CW42- It took about 3.5 to 4 hours for the re-map on my car. 30-40 minutes changing the Lamda sensor, installing the monitoring devices and new ECU,and then the rest of the time was spent going up and down the 'private' road
All the best

Cheers franko. What sort of speeds did you get too on the A419? Was it legal
Not sure if I'll need a new lamba sensor, have to wait and see, only 2 weeks to go

your welcome mate
I had to go through various runs, first holding the boost at 0psi (its hard at first but you get used to it) then at 4psi and then 8/9psi... the most important bit is watching traffic. If you cant go,you cant go and just go round and do another run
Then i did a few runs going from 4th all the way to 6.5k revs and the same in fifth.. this is when you reach good speeds but not too excessive
I did a few sprint runs too from second upto 4th... were the speeds legal? they always are on a private track arn't they?
just be looking out for the plod
Your lambda sensor will be swapped for a sensor Bob uses for mapping (regardless of wether it needs changing or not) If there's any performance mods your doing its best to do them all before the mapping session
Enjoy

Went to Richmond to meet Bob and Branko yesterday, good guys, Bob really knows his stuff his reputation is definately well deserved and justified. My car is completely reformed. Didnt notice much difference around town, which is probably a good thing. But on the motorway were before I find myself changing down you can mash it in any gear and it flies.
Feels so much smoother and progrressive, used to have hesitant spots before but now it feels like it always should of. Bob persuaded me to get a knock-link for security, which I will be fitting tommorow. Will be saving up for a boost gauge as well, but may go for the whole pods worth
.
p.s anybody going to Richmond annoy the high street area it took about 1 hour to get through it, you would be bteer coming in from the M3 direction as opposed to the M4.

Had my car done yesterday. Apologies to Bob for getting lost and turning up late(follow Bobs directions not Autoroute). It was really interesting to see how Bob goes about his work and thoroughly enjoyable driving the car for him. As has been said earlier i've not noticed a big difference around town but on the motorway it is a different story. Big thanks to Bob for doing such a good job and to RB5_IOM for organising the GB
I got my re-map on sat as well.Very impressed car is a lot quicker
Enjoyed driving for bob but had more fun on my 4.5hr journey home.
A big thank you to bob for a job well done & also to mark for organising the group buy.For anybody waiting to get theirs done .....you won't regret it!

1 day to go
Off down to swindon today for a "dirty weekend away"
No kids, just me and the missus.
Staying near bobs at the village in swindon
Next post will be all about how I got on
Going to wales on sunday also, to meet up with the muppets annual camping trip group, should be perfect roads to discover my new scooby performance
See you all soon,
chris.

My (second car) was done yesterday........
Even though it has no other mods the pick up is stunning - faster than my sti5 was when standard........ just waiting now for a remap of my sti5....... 500bhp would be nice

You think I'm devious guys, FANGORIA was there with his wifes standard 04 wrx, which he is now going to fit downpipe and decat centre section, without her knowledge
Now that is cheeky, good on you fangoria
On my car, after some trouble with not enough boost, and finding a 2mm restrictor pipe instead of the usual 1mm, then fitting an sti .9mm replacement, we had some excellent runs up and down the A419 at around 120mph
lucky thats bobs own private track eh?
Came home up the m5 and m6 on sunday, straight onto the rollers at prosport. Previous on the same rollers was 255bhp/259lbft torque.
Now 275.3bhp/329.7lbft torque!
kicking in @ 3510 rpm.
Got a bit of a problem with slight surging around 3100-3600rpm, but otherwise extremely pleased with that result
I'll post my power graph up later after top gear tonight
Big thanks to bob, and also to prosport for waiting for me to get back from swindon, managed to do it in 2hours 10 mins!
Thanks also to rb5iom for organising this group buy in the 1st place, and finally to the wife for not making me go home on saturday when she found out what I was up too

here you go:
As you can see, at around 3000 rpm, I get a dip in performance. of the 4 runs I did at prosport today, 3 all had that dip, but the last one didn't!
All power figures were within 10bhp/10lb/ft of each other, so I've taken the highest one
Hopefully I'll have some time to play on proper roads this week around derbyshire/cheshire, rather than just boring motorway
