How much do you want paying?!

It's interesting tho - the way the 'look' of an Impreza is regarded so differently by different people.

Some people prefer the minimal look, some the street racer look, some the full on rally look, etc etc.

I think the stock Impreza STi is damn fine looking and pretty in keeping with the general looks of a 'rally' car, so wanted to re-achieve that with the specC (since STi drop the big wing and colour coded wing mirrors for the specC!). Mine had the added twist of having come from Japan with some extra OEM bodykit bits anyway (like the STi side skirts - a purist specC owner wouldn't have them on tho!).

'ello..

I never noticed you had the Brembo's on the car before Mike..
I know they do a version of Spec C with and without I think?
what do you think of them? they is the same as on mine..

I am still tarred by that 'orrible Bug eye.. and prefer the classic impreza but coming around to the new one.. still think they need 18s though..

Simon, yes the -> specC 17" <- comes with the regular Brembo setup, it's the trimmed down -> specC 16" <- that comes with the old STi 4 pots (comes with a lot less other stuff besides, eg. no bucket seats, steels instead of alloy wheels, no DCCD-A, etc.).

I'm finding the Brembos excellent, they are the most responsive brakes I've ever had, very little pedal travel considering no braided hoses. No idea what pads the previous Jap owner had on tho, I do getting lovely rally-esque squeel from the brakes sometimes :-)

I am very pleased with the Brembo's on my car too..

Currently got Ferodo DS2500 pads which are perhaps a little harsh on the disks but stop very well from cold..
Does have an annoying screach also

so what's the deal with the "STI Genome" control panel?

Is it some sort of control for the flow through the zorst?

ScoobyDoo555,

Without looking back through the thread, I believe the control you talk about is for the Defi STi labelled gauges..

Unrelated to exhaust , just both STi Genome labelled.
