Only just seen this. Terrible news
Like Richard (333), I'd met Ian through the Staffs meets we had. He suggested and organised a pre Christmas curry night back in 2002. It was an excellent night - we all had a really good laugh.
The world is poorer place without such a gentleman

OMG, I have only just heard. Haven't been around much due to work commitments.
I was lucky enough to have met Ian a few times on the Staffordshire events and as ChrisB points out, the curry night was one of the best ever.
He definitely was a true gentleman and a wonderful person. The loss is big and I give my deepest sympathies.

I didn't know Ian personally, but I do have some idea what you must be going through right now. There will be difficult times ahead, you have to be very strong, face the things you have to deal with and steer round the things you don't; but it WILL get better and easier for you all in time. When we lose someone we love we never get over it, but just learn how to cope with it and make the hurt manageable
