Rolling Road Day/ Chelmsford, Whitham/ Early March

So is the general feeling that today the figures were well down?
My car was the loud silver classic about 3rd on (116db), have full decat and custom map and only managed 241hp and 235lb/s torque which was actually lower than I had when I visited PE last without the remap!!! So a bit disappointed.
BTW, who was that videoing? may I have a copy of the movie with my car doing a quick flash of flames on run down please

Thanks to Scott for organising the day, it was good to meet you - hope the scoob is going well soon
I must join the ranks of "a bit disappointed", making 248.9/253.3 with Tek remap/decat, since the package was sold as giving more like 270/270, but it was good to see Pat there, who did the map last summer. He's going to have a tinker with it next week to see if there's a few more horses lurking in there.... BTW did he run the leggy later on? - he was threatening to. We had to leave before 1, shame I'd have liked to stay on a bit.
What planet was that merchant banker in the snack van on? Good entertainment anyway Did anyone wind him up....?
Pele - hope you get your bumper sorted - BTW I've got some similar scratches on my front - what do you reckon is the best/cheapest way to sort them?
Jim

Thanks Scott for organising this You can sleep easy tonight knowing Arron didn't win now
Did anyone wind the burger man up..... no... not really
Jim, If your scratches are down to the plastic like mine are, then you will have to have the bumper resprayed like I am having to do - drop me a mail if you need a man that can

Good day day thanks to Scott.
Also disappointed with results from my STI8 PPP, G-Force 292.4 bhp 290ftlb,
Engine Advantages 291.9 bhp 278.2 ftlb. Fairly close to Prodrive 296 bhp and 298 ftlb but I seem to be missing loads of torque under 3000 rpm, will have to have a word with Prodrive.
If that is your car send me your details and I will put it on a VHS.

Outside Temp- This was 8 degrees and beieve me in the garage it felt 2-3 degrees colder
So in summary if I was within +/- 5 bhp of the figures expected I wouldn't be too unhappy because like you say it's not an exact science but -20-25 off the mark isn't good at all.
Pele I did try to place an order for 14 cheeseburgers 10 coffees and 4 teas with the Snack Tw*t and he didn't smile

Yes , cheers rb5Scott for an enjoyable day. Only went up there to check my brothers car out on the rollers.(sirfozz) & ended up having my arm twisted to put my car on aswell.
Nice to finally be able to put some faces to their scoobynet names.
Out of interest my uk99 came back with figures of 232bhp with 230 torque.
Roll.... on the next meet.

does anyone have a complete list of cars/mods and power figures for the day, its always interesting to compare a bunch of cars on the rollers on the same day, will help some of us with crap figures work out if its our cars or just another bad day!

You will have to go in disguise next time m8

COrnelius,
That process you mention for the cams is normal. It doesn't matter how it't timed when the belt comes off, it's how it's timed when the new one goes on that count's.

I now know I'm in the wrong, I'm an engineer, and have dealt mainly with ford engines, especially the cosworth, and have found out today that the principles of the cosorth and the EJ20 engines are different. I have apologised to the party concerned, and basically, I've listened and heeded someones so called advice and made the wrong judgement.
Indeed, my car WAS down in power, but now has been remedied, the problem wasn't with the timing belt etc at all, is was down to the Dawes device that wasn't set up properly. Thanks goes out to the team at Scoobysport who sorted my car out, from now on, if I have any problems with the car, I'll get their opinion and my business first.
