Cool Anyone who wants to meet up from the Kent side...

We will be leaving to go to the rolling road day from The Wharf at 9.30

We will be leaving here at 2.30 to go back to The Wharf for 3pm to pick up people who are going to the Gatso Bustas meet at The Dutch House - we will be putting black ribbon onto the wing mirrors of our cars as a mark of respect to Rob. I will supply the ribbon

Sorry to do this guys but at the moment I don't think the car will be ready in time. Got the Engine in last night, however still need to 'plumb' it in and remap the ECU for the new injectors etc.
Now I see that there are a few spaces after 2pm, if it all goes well I shall try to make it later on.

Cheers

Ive

Anyone approaching this from the M25 know if its best to stay on the A12 all the way or do what Autoroute suggests and go through chelmsford? (looks like a short cut as A12 goes round but if its 30mph through chelmsford it might be silly?

I stand to be corrected if i'm wrong but it would seem there are spaces not taken dotted about in the list of times. So I would think that there will be room for you & no one has pre-paid,they will all pay when they run.So you would too.

I thought the 9-10 slots were packed now? I think someone removed the letters "9-10" from the top of the group when pasting so it probably looks that way.

Big thanks to Scott for organising this. My first Scoob meet of any kind and was great to meet other Scooby owners.

Only went to check that the Scoob I bought a couple of weeks ago was performing as it should. Well happy with my results - standard MY99 with only a ScoobySport backbox came out at 236.4BHP @ 6161rpm / 220.6 lb/ft @ 4373rpm

But probably the best result of the day was having the missus telling me as we left, after having seen all the lovely motors that showed up, that our next car has to be a WRX Sti with all the bells & whistles.

Who am I to argue?

Excellant news Jay

Good day and i did'nt really need to do much organizing as you were all well behaved

big thanks to Paul at engine advantages for the dyno runs

Congratulations to Arron for winning ( just found out Paul put in a 333bhp late in the day in his STI5 RA)

Nice to meet some new people too

Roll on the next day, which Pele is organizing for May, Never know i might even run at that one

Scott

Unhappy PPP I'm Not Sure Its Worth It!

Good to see so many Scoobs but the figures for my car and a fair few others were not so clever.

After shelling out £1600 and not getting what I've paid for isn't right. I'm hoping it's just a hiccup and a quick visit to the Dealership will put things right. I've already telephoned my dealer as my car was at least 20-25 BHP below what it should be Unfortunately the Manager is off till Tuesday.
I have to say that my Dealer has been spot on so far and lets hope that continues.

According to Pro-Drive an MY03 WRX with PPP should be 260 BHP.
Errrr not on my car. I'll see what my dealer has to say and let you know how I get on.

P.S.- Before anyone starts talking about false figures one of the Chaps there today had already recorded 292.4 at another rolling road and recorded 291.9 today. So we know the Rolling Road is accurate.

You have to remember all the variables mate Outside temp, engine temp, etc etc

Its not an exact measurement at any rolling road.

See you tonight

Correct Phil but!!!!!

Standard non-ppp STI8 276bhp
ppp STI8 291bhp

Not really the 35bhp hike Prodrive claim

Great day at witham, though was a little unnerving seeing/hearing my WRX on the rolling road!!

Before I go too mad on my car, and worrying about a possible engine rebuild
could anyone tell me if I'm being unreasonable? My car is a '96 jap Import wrx, the power figures are 218.7BHP@661rpm(72MPH) 188.1lbft@ 5281 rpm, I was expecting to see about 275bhp.

I run the car on BP ultimate with millers octane boost.

I didn't get to the rolling road day till about 1ish, so can't gauge the power figures.

I thought the skyline was going to burst my ear drums!!
