ratio of voters vs members.

First of all, as we are told time and time again, there are not 36,000 active members of scoobynet.

Secondly, the people that have voted are clearly the people who place a high importance on it.

You wanted action as quickly as possible, so we've taken it.

I don't believe it, people are still complaining?

FFS, Can't you people stop bloody moaning for one damn second? Simon changed For Sale to a sub basis, people whinged, now he's changed it to FOC and people still whinge. GROW UP! If you don't like it, go and peddle your wares elsewhere.

Simon, You know what, I would not be suprised if you just decide to tell everyone to **** off and that SN is closing down. If I was in your position I would be in serious dummy spitting out mode. I know you can't please all of the people all of the time, but it looks like some people just can't accept that at some point, you have to occasionnaly pay for something that was once free. Said it before, I've been here for nigh on four years and have financially contributed sod all to SN, I felt that with SN3, it was time I actually did! For others out there, I do NOT have a scoob, so scoob related parts and such don't interest me much, I'm mainly here for the community side of things, I have over the many years made good friends on here.

It really does sadden me to see all this petty complaining going on, if you don't like it, sod off and use e-bay, yes, it'll detract from revenue for SN, however, those left who are ok with how it was will continue to post.

How about restricting the number of posts in the FS - General forum for non subscribed members.

Some people (like me) sell maybe 2 things a year, whereas others (POC, Luc and a few others) sell £1000s worth of kit monthly. It's hard to draw the line between private and trade sales sometimes. I think it's it's free you may see all the crap advertised there again, and despite critisism the fee based FS forums certainly weeded out some crap, but also lost some choice stuff.

well, since the scoobynet upgrade (if you could call it that) the other day, i am having to request a new password everytime i log in

so, if this continues, and for sale section becomes subscription etc, then i wont be using scoobynet any longer thats for sure.

ian

p.s. and yes, i have emailed the scoobynet technical about 2 days ago, no reply

Do you want to stamp you feet any more?

The password thing is proberly a cookie error and the for sale section was made free for all ages ago (well sometime today).

If you enjoyed Snet before, then things have now got/getting better.

I'm happy its back to FOC, hate to say it but trawling though posts for cookers and Timberlake tickets to click on a 30 post thread to find that 28 were BTTT's was part of the SN FS character, and goes with the FOC territory.

Now that there is a subscriber forum for those that doesn't want that type of crap, everyone should be happy

Lightbulb The ultimate solution as I see it...

To make sure that buyers don't get messed about and that sellers get a fair price and also so that Scoobnet gets some cash I would really really like an ebay style auction section. Scoobynet would charge listing fee based on a very small percentage of the final selling price which could work out at something like 10p for an old edition of Evo mag or £20 for a car - only payable if the item sold.

The best thing would be that the element of suspicion would be removed where sellers are perceived as trying to rip off and buyers are preceived as taking the pi55.
