I've been stopped a few times and have always found the police to be fairly reasonable - including when I got the 'do you know how quickly you were going round that corner sir'
Nobody has picked up on my illegal rear plate yet though. I really must get that changed but I can't be bothered to move the rear fog - pesky jap imports

Well mate my view on the DPA as I use it everyday is like being told info and personal stuff within those 4 walls of ur house??
The Data Protection Act ONLY applies to information held electronically, so unless you are operated by computer, there has been no violation of said Act!
Information like what you earn would be used when reorting you, in order to consider what size of fine would be appropriate if it came to it.
Your insurance costs, as has been described above, was probably testing you to see if you are likely to have insurance.
As far as I go, my insurance is £790 per year, and I got my first Scoob at 21.
No secrets here and nothing to hide.
Plus, no violation of the Data Protection Act, of which you obviously know VERY little about, which is worrying considering you claim to use it every day.
