ajm, you're right, i might. I'll certainly try to get used to it. But with so much information around me, anything that isn't instantly obvious, or too cluttered, gets binned. At the moment, SN falls into that category, and is the reason i don't use sites like ClubGTi (although that's worse as it has personalised graphics too). We'll see.

i suppose i can get used to it - it's bound to be easier than the alternative - actually getting on with some work
i agree that it could be made a bit easier on the eye - but overall i can't see any problems with the way it works.
can wee have the mouth open smilie back?

I'm reserving judgement thus far - some good features which should have been implemented ages ago IMHO, but also some things I'm not keen on. Smilies look at bit anemic not tho

first thoughts not good. Had a little wander around and and warming to it. I liked the VIP and Favourites bit previously as I had some useful threads in there. Not sure the fees are the right way of moving forward, but understand these things cost money, but surely the number of registered users previously must command good money from businesses linked to or advertising on SN. Afterall they all make profit when users buy goods from them?

I Don't Like
Clutter, Slowness, VIP'S gone, Fave threads gone
And the real biggy.
The forum now looks like a forum, so when I'm in work it is pretty obvious from a distance that I'm using a BBS. Really gonna curtail my use to times when I can get away with it!!

As others have said scoobynet has lost it's unique and work friendly look, in a lot of ways this facelift reminds me of what Subaru did with the bugeye Impreza.

I thought I should post this for those who have not seen it as I have been one of the ones who have said they dont like the look.
Like I said on the thread in General, if this is the case then it should make a huge difference to those who don't like the new look. I hope Simon and Shaun can implement this.
Re: Look and feel, etc.
I'll say this again. We can sort all that out once we have the site stable. My suggestion would be that we can have options so you can view it how you like. One of which will be very plain and simple like ScoobyNet 2.
Please give us a bit of breathing space to work on it flat out, and support us while we do this.
Cheers
Simon

Mirror the comments re the bbs looking like a damn bbs that will intefere with my daytime (ie office) viewing.
If the look can be personalised by each member then great - but I aint gonna pay extra for that so no to introducing scoobynet++ membership
