HYBRID FMIC FITTING
Fortunately i have an MY98 so the o/s wing hole is much larger than the pre 98 cars so hopefully that wont be an issue. But ill give it my best shot and see what happens.Im estimating 3 hours for the fitting of the fmic and the rest of the day cutting the bumper, only time will tell
scooby-tc and IPalmer...you just couldn't resist the urge to get one could you!!!
You will be impressed with the quality and power increase
...one month on from fitting mine and it's still

Gents, anyone had any issues with the hose between first and second hardpipes (going in the direction of flow) coming off ? Mines done it three times in as many days now, even since I replaced the clamps with stainless genuine jubilee ones...
I think that the second pipe is moving away, towards the front of the car, at the top (swivelling on the lower fastening, at the FMIC end), which is making the gap enlarge between the pipes...
Ta,
Mark
PS _ In fact, the last hard pipe (return) touches the underside of the bonnet slightly, so I'll be trying to move the front end downward - probably mean shortening the vertical third pipe slightly.....

Wondering, as I was planning on getting one of these, How do they plumb in with a front entry TD05 turbo, as mine is still 90 degree entry into top of turbo inlet? And normal outlet under the throttle body.

Looks like my mod to the pipe/hose clips has worked - not moved and drove to Notts last night and Chester this morning - so
I'll take a look at shortening the vertical pipe, but need to bear the battery terminal in mind !

Just fitted my Hybrid and I'm having some problems fitting my original fog lights because of the hoses. Have any of you got them fittet again? If so, have you got any photoes?
My car is a Impreza GT from 1999.
Ather than that, the car does'nt feel so agressive anymore, but the pull just keeps on comming as the revs increases. It's on a FE TD05 and with EcuTek 3 mapped for TMIC. I'm using the Apexi AVC-R to controle boost.
Looking forward to replys ;-)
Kindest regards

A few hours work (budget at least a weekend) and quite a bit of removal and chopping - No real surprises, so long as you read this thread.....
I've made some alterations to mine this weekend, to lag the return pipe and also, I cut about an inch off the end, so it would fit lower in the engine bay - now its not so close to the bonnet, or the battery terminal...

and dont tighten the clamps too much as the bolts are suprisingly fragile as i found out on thursday when it snapped.Fortunatly i managed to get hold of some stainless ones.Took me 3 hours to do the pipework and 2 days to cut the bumper good luck its all worth it in the end
hmm- yes - I'd forgotten the clamps - I've replaced mine with stainless 'aba' jubilee types. PLUS, the 1st to 2nd pipe connection (under the induction kit) is prone to pulling apart - I think that the pipework is a bit free to move and so pulls apart - the clips are supposed to be boost proof - not hold the pipework in place - I've built a clamping system for mine - no problems since (basically jubilee clips at each end of the rubber hose, but actually on the hardpipe - then clips between them, making a 'cage' around the hose)

Has anybody got a piccy of the back of the bumper to give an indication of how much material needs taking off and where. Also what have people used? a grinder air saw hack saw or even a junior hack saw ?
Cheers guys I bought mine in the first group buy !!!
aint got round to it yet

Matey - it fits at the front
Anyhow, I used a pair of sheet metal cutters - but no pics I'm afraid - almost all of the black section in the centre came off, plus a bit of the part under the indicator, by the driving/fog lamp....

Thinking about it I think they call the bit I used a "grout remover bit"? I used it at pretty high speed, the Pu kind of melts round it a little bit but it basically goes through it fairly aggressively.

What do you all say about the extra lag? I have this on my 99 gt with a FE-TD05 and I think there is ALOT more lag after fitting this FMIC,
Ofcourse I was counting on some more, but it's alot.
