It's tempting... although I don't want to pay more than £1000 a year to insure my car
Brings to mind such classics as Army Intelligence and Microsoft Works.
Sadly insurance companies don't seem to car about the 25 mark these days. Seems it's more like 30. Age will never beat a no claims discount.
They will put it up anyway. I phoned up recently as a trial and quoted the postcode for my nextdoor neighbour saying I was moving. They put my premium up £120 a year. I asked why and they said I must be moving to a dodgier area. They were a little embarrassed when I pointed out it was right nextdoor as they hadn't clocked that. I then asked if everytime an ammendment was made they saw it as an opportunity to increase a premium. She said I'd have to talk to a supervisor. I couldn't be bothered so didn't.
Does the difference in outlay balance out the difference in insurance though. Just thinking a saving of a couple grand on a Scoob over an M3 is a couple years free insurance.
