Are you sure Daz, i thought the 2 door version without sideskirts was a wrx type r as oppossed to the more common wrx sti type r!!

I am more than happy to be corrected though!

And RA Limited 2 door

And RA V Limited 2 door Longer 5 th gear

And RA Limited 4 door

And RA V Limited 4 door Longer 5th gear

Both WRX AND STi types

Tinted back windows are a ' dealer option ' meaning that you can get it done when you buy the car as are some other parts, like side window deflectors etc, Factory options are; colour coded door handles, colour coded side skirts, colour coded mirrors, wheel and tyre options, etc etc

Confused?? I should say so.

Just dropped mine off at the body shop this morning, getting the daft looking scoop removed, front end resprayed to remove the 1 million+ stonechips and new foglight cover painted and dings removed.

I'll be picking it saturday afternoon then heading straight over to York to get ready for SSIII

Did you get hold of v.ltd seats? Think there's a pair for sale at the moment. £400.

Sorted for stickers now. £34 quid each for the quarter's from RCM (genuine) and £20 for the foglights from Revolution (non-genuine). All excellent quality and recommended if you need some.

Has anyone upgraded the rear brakes? If so, to what? Just wandering if its worth getting new disks+pads or having the std disks skimmed+pads.

Doug,

The only things Ive done to the rear brakes are EBC Redstuff Ceramics and braided hoses (and 5.1 fluid).

I did the fronts at the same time and the pads on the front are fecked now but the rears look hardly used !

Have a question for you guys. A buddy of mine is doing a front mount intercooler kit on a V4 STi swaped 2.5RS coupe (like mine). Now the IC piping is hitting the stock intake box. What aftermarket intakes are there for the V4 STi? We cant seem to find any.

I got the pads from (I cant remember which one so just call 'em both for the best price) either Camsport Performance or Camskill.

The braided hoses and fluid I got from RSM Motorsport but I didnt bother with the Goodridge hoses, they're miles more expensive than the non-branded stuff but dont do anything different!!

Just thought i'd say hi in here, just put a deposit down on my first scooby, a 99 V5 type R in dark metallic grey.

Collecting it on saturday, was emensley impressed with the car, coming from a history of vauxhalls, the handelling was out of this world! Test drove two 4dr STi's also but prefered the rawness off tje type R. Fair few rough ones knocking about out ther also, took a while to find a good un!

No probs. You've got a good lookin scooby there mate. Notice its on a W plate. Same here. Mines no.521, whats yours?

I couldnt decide on gold or anthracite p1's but i ended going for anthracite. I reckon they both look good. Must be the car!

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...c/CIMG0715.jpg

Its off the road at the moment for a complete overhaul of suspension/brakes/engine and wont be on the road till the later half of the year. However, it will be worth the wait as it should be chucking out a nice healthy 450/450 from the 2.5.
