Looking for the limited 2003 V-lip

:D:D:D
Hi guys and girls,
I bought the spoiler from Iain Litchfield (iain@litchfieldimports.co.uk), although it was actually sourced from www.japanparts.com
Many thanks Iain - the cheque is in the post (well it will be on Monday!!)
They are priced at £220 each, but by the time you have to pay for shipping, duty, VAT etc they work out at £475.
I know they are expensive, but I have been looking for some form of lower lip since I got the car last April, but have never seen anything that I really liked.
All the other after market kits look a bit too "Max Power" for me (IMHO of course).
To me this is how the standard car should come of the production line.
Having seen the V-limited lip on here it just looked the business - visually effective at lowering the front end, but still fairly subtle.
I bought it as an "impulse buy" on Wednesday. I had taken the car for it's 10,000 miles service to Powerstation and happened to mention to the guys there that the only thing I wanted / needed to do to the car was sort out the front bumper - "Ah, we may be able to help you out there!!!" was the reply.
They had received 5 lips the evening before, which belonged to Iain. He is planning on putting them on his T25's I believe.
One quick phone call to Iain and 10 minutes later it was on the front of the car.
Not sure if he is willing to sell the others or is now keeping them for his other cars - might be worth dropping him an e-mail.
If anyone is trying to justify spending the money to their other-halves, just think of the improvement in wind resistance and therefore fuel economy.
With the 3% improvement quoted, I have worked it out that the spoiler will pay for itself after about 230 tanks worth of Optimax.
So that will probably be about 5 years of petrol at my current usage - probably just about when I would look at changing the car.
Once again, many thanks for posting the piccies Twohats.
Cheers
Simon
PS
If anyone is interested - with Eibach springs fitted the groung clearance of the front lip is 110mm

Very, very nice
These were on their way to Powerstation on Tuesday whilst I was there.
Shame I didn't hang around for another hour
I would buy one of these tomorrow if the shipping costs weren't so high.

The lip is made out of hard plastic and finished in matt black. I have added a touch of bumper / tyre restorer to deepen the black colour and add a little shine to it though.
I think it is intended to be left like that (see the original photo of the blue STi), although see no reason why it couldn't be colour coded. The STi badge would need to be removed and replaced, which should be easy enough.
The finish is excellent and the fit perfect. It is attached to the underside of the bumper using the screws (8 I think) which hold the side / corner splitters in place. There are four additional holes in the centre section - two of which are already in the bottom of the bumper and two which need drilling.
All-in-all it takes a maximum of 10 minutes to fit.
Cheers

Thanks for that Simon, it was as I thought/hoped. My STi is Black too so just a bolt on. Now need to either persuade Ian at Litchfield to let me have one or deal with Japanparts direct.
