I hope you don't expect me to read all that bull plop?
You seem to know a lot about gay motoring.
A TT shares the same platform as a Beatle!
Do TT's have those gay vases to put your favorite flowers in like the beatle?

Who gives a flying **** about mpg? Other than girls and raging pufters?

Now look here nancy boy, don't make me come round, bitch slap you and make you my main bitch.

I just read some of your 'warning' link. It was aimed at lesbians!
There's nothing wrong with being a lesbian, I'm one myself

I don't own a TT but a alot of the TT 225 are chipped which means an easy 270 bhp and 300 lbs very similar to an STI... a match for for most cars on the market

But i do happen to be Gay
and I don't know any hairdressers, but i do know an RUC motorbike cop built like a brick sh*t house. an ex RAF pilot, a few builders/plumbers, achitects, accountants, computer programmers, City traders etc etc

List of the cars usually in the car park of a club i sometimes go to near London bridge, wednesday's and saturday's in case any of you want to make sure you don't drive a gay car
TVR's
EVO 7
WRX
Loads of BMW COUPES
Couple of Mini's
Civic Type R
Loads of Golf's and FOCUS'S
Porche Boxter 2.5 I think
Porsche 993
Couple of jags - the 4X4 ones based on the mondeo
Rover MG zx whatever
couple of TT's

Am I hearing right?
do some people think the TT is fast or even as fast as a scooby?
Ive never been beaten by 1 (225bhps are the only ones i bother to race in my 200sx s14a).
my car has 207bhp and always pulles ahead of the audi and in 4th there dusted.

TTs look like half an easter egg and should only be driven @ easter.

And the only men I see driving them are gay.

lol @ there cornering my car is lowered and corners better even in the wet.

Exclamation

I thrashed the living daylights out of an Audi TT 225 one night. I had my friend in the front passenger seat (he weights at least 16 stone) the Audi TT driver was a skinny guy who could not have been more than 12 stone. I wasn't going to race but he was a bit cocky...he pulled away at the lights before me so a floored my car caught up with himand overtook him. We got to the next set of lights (It was on a kind of dual carriageway) and he was fuming and wanted blood they went green...he got wasted, but he wouldn't give up!!! he was in the left lane and was coming up behind a parked car I thought '...this lunatic is going to smack into that car!!!' He had to brake (what a shame). we got to the next set of lights I looked over to the left he was laughing and was bright red with embarrasment. Then my mate put the icing on the cake... he wound the window down, so did he and said, 'I thought they were fast!' then started laughing his head off. The poor guy must have died. To top it all off my cars not even an Impreza its a lightly modified Subaru Legacy Turbo Estate (single Turbo mind) and it is at least 200kgs heavier than an Impreza. Also, some Audi TT owners do look like bender. By the way I do not have a 'boiler lagging jacket' nor do I wear a Baseball cap. I am a Health Care worker with a family.

No offence intended to anyone just my story to tell

Thanks

LMAO at all the 'I thrashed the pants off some gayboy TT the other night'

That makes up for it being slower round a track than a TT then.

just as an aside.....

a m8 of mine has a lightly modified h plate carlton gsi 24v ..its pushin 240 ish bhp...

he has beaten an evo vII going round a wet roundabout up here in the north before now....

and audi tt's would be wooped!!

the thing is...while some cars feel very fast, truly fast cars never do.

think about this a minute...when your in an m5 you don't notice any earth shattering acceleration..sure its quick but it doesnt blow you away...and yet you can be going at incredible speeds before you realise it...

in imprezas and lancers its different again...they scream and with short gear changes feel like they are going ballistic..and while they are fast the real pace is never there...

just somet to think about

I nearly bought an M5, glad I didn't as they are not that quick compared with a sorted Impreza.

Well I own an LC ...and its a really peculiar thing..u can go off at what you feel is a relatively swift rate and look down and your doin 120...

its even scarier cos you just don't feel it happening...its all smoothness and grunt.

and i have been in faster cars and a very nice group a scooby rally car

so i think i can say that honestly.... when i went in a new sti for instance its like your being hit repeatedly with a jackhammer..its all electric power and it feels scremaingly quick... (similar to cars of its ilk) ..

not so with your rs6's, your amg mercs...lc's...and m5's... its a different sort of quick :P

Cool

I have a "classic" Impreza Turbo, and even if I had it chipped / tuned to death (performance wise), there's no way I'd rather have it over the current M5.

My boss had one for a few months, and it was up there with one of the best, finest cars I've been in, bar none. It sounded great, handled well, and had an interior Scoobies can only have wet dreams about.

Sorry peeples, the M5 is in a different league to Scoobies, full stop.

As for the topic of this thread - well my take on it is this:

The Audi TT is the design icon of the last few years.
The Impreza is the performance icon of the last decade.

Chalk 'n' cheese.

lol you could get a job at bernard mannings club.....

I love the way straight men have to define Gay guys as hairdressers / camp etc - as if to seperate gays in to a catorgory that they don't belong to - "I'm not like that so i couldn't possibly be queer" Actually its the really masculine men you want to look out for.....:-) Your dad might even be gay - i know quite a few married men :-)

I wonder what car reggie Cray would be driving today if he were alive -

4wd would have more loses than rwd. SO yeah it is easily possible.

Shame ScoobyNet has such a large contingent of closed minded biggots these days. Must be the incursion from the North now you can get internet up there.

no..its due to TT's being marketed as something that they are not....

fine..granted they are a nice piece of design..

but they most definately are NOT a sports car...and they arent even that quick...anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves

Strange topic for two such totally diff cars, ones a pure design classic the others a classic A road drivers car- but both are 'look at me cars' and both respectably quick. My bro's got a 98 Turbo and I drive an S3 which is apparently quicker and better handling than a TT, his scoob out performs and out handles my Audi we both prefer our own car, yet really like each others!

Horses for courses as they say

"207 bhp and your pissing all over a car with 225 bhp yeh right"

A car with only 100bhp can "pi$$ all over a car" with 225bhp, if the power-to-weight ratio is right.

Look a the Elise. The lack of cup holders and overly chromed dials / fuel caps make the Impreza relatively light in comparison with the TT... hence the power-to-weight ratio is in its favour.

My car only weighs about 1267kg the TT about 1400kg.
My car 0-60 6.5(standard)the tt about the same.
My mods are to the handling and power, response
so its close but only @ the start.

Mad Gypsy

It said 225 on the back and had a quattro badge on the front. And it's not the first. It seems all TT drivers think they have bought a sports car, why, I'm not quite sure. They come racing up behind you with something to prove, and get a thrashing that you can tell shocks them. I haven't yet baited a TT, as I see them as not fit enough to give me a race. But, when provoked, I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy watching them dissapear.
I've never liked them, they ARE for girls and homosexuals and basically they are just a VW beatle with a Hawaiian shirt on.
I dare say this never happened......

1.Audi TT's don't show whether they are 180 or 225 - no visible differences aside from the exhaust so you are spouting true bollocks.
2. TT's are completely different cars so stop trying to compare - when they group test a TT they do it against Porsche Boxsters, Merc CLK's and Nissan Z cars (now 275bhp) When they group test a Scooby it's against the Evo.

Get over it.
