I CUT UP AND UNDERTOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you say you did not drive dangrous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cut up: Pulled in closer than the other person would have liked but at a speed that would not have caused them to brake

Undertook: again, done safely but at the exasperation of the undertaken!

ajm, was this on the way to the supermarket, to your parent/child reserved space?
Funnily enough I did go to the supermarket first, however ample parking spaces meant that this time I could park in an ordinary persons "non-privileged" spot without danger to my car

I CUT UP AND UNDERTOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did he cause any evasive action to be taken? No, end of!

Today I could have been pulled over for multiple offences if a cop car had followed me the whole way to work and was going 'by the book'. However, at no point did I cause anyone to brake or move or change their direction or drop back due to me moving into to small a space. People may have seen me and thought, '****' but the reason they could think that is because they didn't have to think about anything other than maintaining course and speed.

However No less than two people caused me to take evasive braking or moving action because they didn't check their mirrors and make assessment of the closing traffic prior to moving lanes. On one occassion it was serious and this tends to happen every single day. People seem to think its their god given right to move out if they have put their indicator on

I'm going to buy a big truck with bullbars and the next time I'm not doing to brake, swerve or stop - I'll maintain course and speed and stick 2 tones of metal truck up their ****!!!!

I think you'll find that the post when I suggested you go for it was laced with a hint of sarcasm!

LOL @ SB!

Funnily enough the nautical rules of the road state just that. If you are on a collision course and have right of way you should maintain course and speed. This is only overridden by the rule that you must take measures as neccessary to prevent a collision.

Sounds a bit contradictory, but in practise it means that if you have right of way you should wait until the last minute before taking evasive action.

The theory behind this is to prevent both vessels turning the same way at the same time thereby continuing to be on a collision course.

People may have seen me and thought, '****' but the reason they could think that is because they didn't have to think about anything other than maintaining course and speed.
A good point. It always makes me smile when people sound the horn when they are cut up. If they had time to sound the horn it wasn't that close!

ajm,

Just check the manual that came with your car - all the instructions, hints and tips MUST be in there from what I've seen

If the benefits outweigh the negatives then why the hell not?
