'this wasnt a problem with the law,it was a problem with interpretation of the law'

Isn't that a problem then?

Pops- vote for a new start

not imo no,the human error that meant the School werent told of the burglary charge was nothing to do with the law.Someone ****ed up.You simply cant have a 100% fool proof system when human beings have to touch a piece of paper, thats the way it is.Constantly rewriting the statute books wont help, although i think the DPA does seem a bit confusing if you have to have guidelines to help those who have to enforce it,i would agree with that.

'Constantly rewriting the statute books wont help'

Get rid of the 18th century statute books period. And get rid of those old fossels walking around in their wig and gowns.

Dear Pops,

Although you are a liberal-do-gooder-disser,i agree with you re getting rid of the idiots in the wigs.Unfortunately many of them are highly intelligent men,but they are stuck in different century. Some should be spared though, like Hutton, who is ****ing great afaiac.

Popeye

That is a generalisation which is totally inaccurate with respect to the abilities of those you are running down. They wear those clothes because of tradition which one even you might appreciate, after you have grown up that is to say. At the moment you give the impression of being unable to see the wood for the trees and also that you are against authority purely because it seems to be fashionable.

traditionally they wear the wigs to disguise their identity (much the same as barristers)

pops talks my kind of hard no-nonsense talk

too many on here talk soft and discuss it like politicians on question time

there is no debate

zero tolerance to repeat allegations

stop our kids dying

scary to think how many serial sex offenders are on our streets due to the 'interpretation of the law' and all that nonsense

common sense must prevail....not the human rights lobby who would rather uphold a paedophiles rights than a childs right to life

bring back stalin..he wouldnt stand for this nonsense

'That is a generalisation which is totally inaccurate with respect to the abilities of those you are running down.'

Methinks not Leslie old chappy. They're way out of touch. Just look at the lenient sentences they dish out. Why is moral at a low in the police force? Cops catch them and the courts let them out fool!

'They wear those clothes because of tradition which one even you might appreciate, after you have grown up that is to say.'

So wearing a wig and gown makes them 'better' then us mere mortals? Get off you're high horse Les! Tradition it might be but our system is useless old chappy.

'At the moment you give the impression of being unable to see the wood for the trees and also that you are against authority purely because it seems to be fashionable.'

LOL at Les. I'm just against these 'out of touch fools'giving stupid sentences to fools that 'repeat and repeat offend'. Understand???? Methinks not. NEXT!!!

Pops- talking sense as usual. Les don't bother chappy. A bientot(look it up)!

wonderful, popeye and his merry fools making my lunchtime read a bit more lively.

Les - if you see popeye or others of his ilk on the list just ignore it. read only the comments of people you know. a few months ago CWE nearly got closed due to this sort of stuff and unfortunately many members who posted rational stuff ended up abandoning CWE. (eg - turboman) don't end up the same way.

I can understand why alot of you guys come out with this sort of aristocratic nonsense as shown above. The Scoobynet ball pictures speak for themself really. You all look like trainspotters/nerds. sry to offend but its true. Les i suggest you get out more. LOL.

Andrew old chappy. I'd like to place a bet. You wear glasses, are overweight, read the Guardian or maybe private eye and drink Pims down at the golf club with all you're chummies. Am i right?

if it makes you happy to think of me in that way, then I don't have a problem....afterall, where's the harm in it?

On the upside, it means that if we were ever in the same room together, at least you wouldn't recognise me...

so, just keep looking out for a fat leftie golfer...
