Good to hear it's back and also good that you/SS found out what caused it.
Dreaded MAF's
Diagnosing... to be honest I would replace the MAF every year and consider it a consumable. 70 quid a year is a bit better than a large bill (if we are talking MY99/00 at least) for an engine rebuild.
Speedking: if Puff mentions the price on here, then you will surely have people saying "ooh, but I could do that cheaper, you have been ripped off" etc etc, aggro no one really needs.

Mine too And that's interesting - when I sank the clutch during it dieing, it was idling all over the place...
Looks like that caused my engine death .
