Rev
'Vauxhall Magnum 2300 coupe'
We had one of those (my uncle), it was well cool in livid Orange, Could it be the same one as they were very rare ?
It was very quick having been fettled by a specialist with Janspeed exhausts and other bits, it would keep up with a BMW 325i back in the eighties/early nineties.

J4CKO,
RE: Magnum coupe
Mine was yellow with black vinyl roof, Vauxhall DTV alloys (I was told they were magnesium, off a Chevette HSR) and DTV "ducktail" spoiler, full Peco (
) exhaust and Corbeau seats.
I remember it as quick, thirsty and rotten. It looked amazing when I bought it, like a minature muscle car, the stance etc. was spot on. Pity the floor, inner wings, bulkhead fell out of it within about 6 months
Unfortunately in those days I didn't have the money to save it so I sold in the local paper and never saw it again (assume it was scrapped or parted out). I think it was L reg, but I'm not too sure (too many cars to remember)

Bravo,
I think you are better off with the R1. I got my 12R as an ex demo bike which saved a fair bit. It was a very good bike and due to the low CG felt smaller than it was, the gearbox was a bit "clunky" though. Mine was the green one. If I start biking again it may well be an R1 just for interest.

Les yeah dont get me wrong, the R1 is simply amazing and my pride and joy, just always liked Kawasakis and wanted something big to tour on with the gf, sadly something I cant do on the R1 as she cant stand it on the back. Mates at work persuaded me to get the R1 as they have the older models and told me it was time I got a proper bike lol.

driving since 92, how many cars? let's see
1988 Nissan Micra (not a bubble shaped one), had that for a few months then wrote it off.
1992 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2e Merit. nice rainbow blue color, great little car. Smacked it into a tractor, and it survived, then t-boned some numnuts who drove in front of me, grrrr.
1996 Saxo VTS, amazon green, my first 'quick' car, loved it to bits, miss it to this day. First car of mine to survive my ownership
2000 Mondeo ST24, nice car, really liked it, kept it for oooh, 6 months
lol
1994 WRX Wagon aka The Blackbeast. My beloved black wagon. Modded and loved, miss her a lot. but had to go due to moving from the UK. hope she has a good home *sniff*
1992 VW Passat, ok, not as groovy as other cars, but it's cheap, and costs less on the already totally insane insurance here (aprox 1500 quid! i kid you not!

Since I was 15 so 15 years.
34 cars (4 Scoobs) + 4 motorbikes.
Had 8 cars at once at one point because I got bored quicker than I could sell them.
No I'm not a dealer.
Being mechanically minded I was always buying cars a little beyond my means that were a little tired. Then I'd restore them and move on to the next project. All good fun till you get a wife.
