Looks like we are banging our heads against a brickwall Kazlo. The latest thread for someone getting their car nicked had as of 16.10 today (sunday) 59 replies and 2765 views, more than this thread. Its a case of everyones sorry but sh#t happens and is happy to accept it. Maybe if you change the thread title to "why" or "double de clutching" you might get more interest.
Keep me posted if this thread is to go anywhere??

Me too </aol>
Not got the sort of car that would attract too much attention, but still paranoid as I often have to leave it parked up in dodgy areas for a while (and in the evenings). The crims are just brazen, they know that they will probably get away with it.
I don't think it's the Police's fault (all though some couldn't seem to give a pinch of ****) - more that their hands are tied. They nick some pikey scumbag and they get off cos they're underage or on a technicality or because the judge has fallen asleep.
If they were scared of the consequences they might think twice.
I come on scoobynet quite a lot and read all the "nicked cars" threads if only to keep myself alert and not get slack. Sympathies to anybody who's been a victim, and add my name to that petition.
Cheers,

Add me on, I for one drive around contantly checking rear mirror for suspicious looking cars, Always leave a space in front at traffic lights in case i have to make a quick getaway.. But i'm not going to get rid of my car ! To be honest the complete apathy the poilce seem to have about car crime is truly soul destroying. I've now twice seen Crud cars dumped in front of me whilst i was driving, Old fiesta a couple of months ago and last night a cavalier. Both have nearly hit me and then you sit there thining are they coming for mine next. For sigitures i would suggest a thread explaing that al you want is a Sighn in with " add me to petition " as the subject body. Once you have tons of names then use it as ammo to go after the mags. I'm sure there are lots of peaople on here that are members of other BBS's that would put links on there back to enable others to post.

Yep it seems that way Scoobylav, thats why nothing ever gets done cause people accept it as being part of life, people want things changing but when it comes down to it they don't want to get involved.
Bit like work really, everyone complains about stuff for ages, get a staff meeting, manager asks has anyone got any comments/problems to suggest but no about 18 of the 20 there have no problems, apart from me an a couple others (then get branded a trouble causer/whinger). Then within 10 mins of meeting their back complaining about stuff again, P###es me off too.
