need help with xbox asap
Bravo
Yes it's subscription free as it's not run by a company - as far as I know someone just wrote the program and distributes it.
Basically, you need X-Link runnng on your pc and your pc will forward information on from your X-box.
Dead easy to setup - if you have a router then you just need to setup port forwarding and you're ready to play!!
Any X-Box game that can be played using System Link can be played on X-Link. (p.s PS2 and GameCube can also be played this way)
Some of the games are:
Project Gotham Racing 2
Links 2004
Halo
Tony Hawk's Underground
Amped 2
Midtown Madness 3
Midnight Club II
I know I've missed loads but it's early and I can't remember them!!
Take a look here for details and downloads of X-Link.
You can also install Bo-XLink on your X-Box so you can switch options on your X-Box without running to your PC. This is developed using the XDK so isn't as easy to find on the net. (not too hard to mail someone and ask for it though as its only small
)
Edited cause I'm a gimp who can't spell

Cheers for the info. Well that makes buying an xbox more attractive but im still inclined to wait for ps3 but i've heard this is going to be 2005 now
Depends how low xbox prices get and what the all in cost will be to get it chipped up with big hard drive etc.
The only games on ps2 I have tried on line are Midnight Club II and SOCOM and neither have had me going back for more time after time, not like the pc does with Delta Force and BF1942.

The X-Box totally kicks the *** of the PS2 imho.
It's so much more than a games console. I'm not going to go into the whole sales pitch but I stream MP3 albums, DIVX movies and even holiday photgraphs wirelessly from my pc onto my TV - all this through the X-Box.
Once chipped the X-Box is so much more versatile than the PS2, and the games are a lot smoother - again imho.

Edited cause I still can't spell
