Project MACH 1 - 2.5 Litre V.V.T. STi
If there is one piece of advice I would give to anyone attempting a major rework. It is to try as much as you can on your existing engine/car. That means, fuel system, inlet/exhaust setup, ECU, turbos, wastegates, misc stuff.
Waiting for a new engine to prove stuff is a waste of time. Okay so you're getting bigger capacity, but much of the setup will be the same.
THis is exactly what Harvey is doing, and it's by far the most effective way IMHO.
FOr instance, if you have the AVCS, make sure you can get and test an ECU that can map and drive it.

Had to go, but carrying on from avcs point.
Why don't you see what gains are to be had from it now. DOn't forget, that it also means you can run cams that you might not otherwise get away with, meaning gains at the top end, and a broader power band.

The TURBO has landed!
OMG Where the F***
am I going to fit that under the bonnet
Will have to perform a little Fensui under the bonnet me thinks
Block is currently being machined for the liners and thrust bearings.
Pictures will follow.....

phase 2 EJ257 crank or billet steel part into phase 1 EJ22t closed deck block sleeved with diesel top hat liners,JE 100mm pistons, PAR rods, lead/copper bearings.
Ported heads with billet valves, good for high temps etc etc etc.
Throttle bodies from alpha or jenvey.
I do wonder why you are looking at buying a Turbo XS downpipe though, unless it's for another car.

Paul, not bad but too many "or" statements in there ....lol
Downpipe is for car in current state, I want a good size one to cut up
Going to make clocked turbo up pipe / downpipes for standard IHI housing turbos. Not to worry, got a scoobymania twin dump item to chop up

You sound as bad as me, I'm hoping to get it on the engine dyno late February early March (Dream on

On the left side is the VF35.......

Conrad,
Hmm, I would say it's a Turbo not unlike another turbo that made a lot of power on another engine that isn't any engine we are used to dealing with or or or something that is not what we thing but something else or cloaks and daggers or maybe we aren't allowed to speak the spec anyway or is the porting cast or machined or don't you know or what about the turbine housing.
Or something

Scott, Bloody headers lost in Germany somwhere, ordered two items from Gruppe-S, Headers & S202 spoiler. Spoiler arrived today 2 weeks late, headers still missing, sadly they didn't box them together

Conrad, Are you confused ?
You initially posted that you had a GT35 with a GT42 wheel and GT40 ported shroud cover with the option of a GT42 cover if it didn't hit target

Did someone ask you to edit your posts tonight Conrad ? and remove the pic of the turbo from the previous page ?

I've got a copy if you have 'accidentally' deleted it
