Concentrating on trying to get it running at the moment (forgetting about the no speedo problem )

Manifold fitted and bolted down, MY96 power steering pump fitted to new age block (with help of angle grinder) Another problem created in that there is no space for induction pipe to the turbo. Power Steering Header Tank Will have to be relocated. Alternator flipped over into its new position, cardboard template for belt tensioner bracket has been crafted up

TD05 turbo fitted, slip jointed up-pipe and new 3" exhaust system also fitted. APS fuel lines now fitted, just waiting for injector rubbers before fuel rails can be fitted.

A few piccies.... Courtesy of David Wallis Hosting LOL

Next up this weekend.....

ECU to engine wiring
Intercooler / Radiator fitment
Turbo compressor cover to flip over so it points to the drivers side wing
Relocate power steering header tank
Relocate water header tank

its not the easiest.. cutting the flange off the up/pipe & downpipe is.. but your struggling with an inlet pipe let alone an outlet.

Oi Wallis

1. I dont have your tools in my garage
2. Why would I want to cut the flanges off my new uppipe and down pipe?

If your offerring to come and rotate the turbo for me then thats a different matter

A little update....

Version 7 Engine potentially sold so its coming back out of the wagon next week before it was finished.

6 speed gearbox to come back out as i have wasted it and now it needs repair

Cams have arrived
Throttlebody to head Tuffnall adapters are machined and ready.
Engine build is underway (Why did I pick an engine man that has a 9 month waiting list?)
Vernier cam pulleys have arrived.

Pictures to follow later...

Why do I feel like I'm not getting anywhere?

I think I have destroyed the front diff, wont know until it comes out. I was towing the scoob behind my motorhome on an A-Frame (all four wheels on the floor), we had left the prop off because the rear diff is still the wrong ratio (havent got round to changing it yet, too busy with new business). Gearbox promptly emptied itself of oil in the 37 miles of M1 from Leeds to Barnsley, diff got a bit tight, slowed my van down to a nearly stop, big bang then freed itself off. That'll be the front diff shagged then

In Order.....

JE Pistons, PAR Rods, EJ22t relinered to 2.5 litre and Forged crank with Flash
JE Pistons, PAR Rods, EJ22t relinered to 2.5 litre and Forged crank without Flash
30mm Tuffnell Throttlebody to V5 Head adapters & Insulators
Cam Pulleys 1
Cam Pulleys 2

The reason behind the 30mm thick adapters is to get sufficient length to be able to create the profile change from the round bore of the individual throttlebodies to the weird almost oval shape of the inlet port.

Thanks to Paul (PAVLO) for the profile / Cad Cam design work
