i thought the machines were using the humans for energy and the ones they were trying to destroy were the ones who (somehow?) managed to escape the pods and ran off to zion? the oracle was a programme designed to help, so was the architect, who didn't help but confuse the hell out of me in reloaded!And in the very first matrix wasn't neo like a top hacker/computer nerd, so i reckon smith was bill gates and neo is the hapless nerd who tries to hack and close down microsoft!?!?! Thought the first matrix was amazing. I thought the 2nd was interesting, special effects awesome and the third..for the first 30 mins a bit slow....but then...WOW! Awesome effects and a good ending, which i hope for the sake of the series, they DON'T continue it and shred the life out of it! Dot Cotton in latex...mmmmm, Jim'll have a heart attack! Keanu can't act...however, I think 'bullet time' and the story made it a success, not Keanu!

Tinity (or C A) is a complete babe! I was gutted when she died - I nearly blubbed like a girl. The wife reckons its some sort of latent fantasy of mine to be disciplined by a severe looking woman in a black latext catsuit.
I suppose you'll be telling me you don't find Fiona Bruce attractive next.....

Has anyone explained why the machines don't just tap the heat needed off the earths core? Other than they wouldn't need humans, or a matrix - hence no need for a trilogy?

I really think the films should be viewed as a whole due to the way they end/start each time. I believe that if they were watched in sucession the overall efect of the story would be greater and there would be less people whining about how cack the 3rd film is.
The Matrix trilogy will (given time) be seen as being in the same league as others ...StarWars etc

For those who said you have to think about it in order to " get it" - I think that's right about the first two in the trilogy but I got the feeling in Revolutions that they just thought "f*ck that!" and threw in the towel on the "deep" story. They threw a few things in to keep people guessing but I think they just ducked out of really keeping the story going.

I jus wanna go play on the set! They had simulators an everything!!! Plus I want one of them APU(? think) thingies they had for defending Zion, and a Scooby. not much really, but it's nearly Xmas...

You'd have thought after making a big **** off machine thing for defence, they wouldn't have left the operator sat on the front of it with zero protection from unfriendly fire would you....
sheesh - a bit of bullet proof glass and you'd still have half the fleet......
