Advice to novices

If you have a top mount intercooler - DO NOT run the car for several minutes prior to going on the Rolling Road, your engine bay will be too hot, you'll have a bit more heat soak to start with and your intercooler wont be cool enough (there not the most efficient of things) and YOU will LOSE power - period!

I always have a little chortle at the people who leave their engines running prior to the event. Now - if the car hasnt been run for a few hrs I can understand the need to get the oil a bit hotter - but if its been run to the event then it should be ok really

Other than that theres not much else to say...............

Perhaps I'm just an eternal Pi*s taker.......

However if you run the aircon as well - much of that heat is converted into freezing cold air in the car (nice) and with both blowers running flat out - the engine bay stays quite cool ...

Running the aircon cools the engine bay with the fans!!! - now if only that was true it would be great - its not - but I'm not going to argue - just assume that I'm correct


Other things - dont take the pi*s when people dont get the power they were looking for (i.e me)

 

I can see that I might have to assume a low profile here at the event as I might be punched
