Hi,
Any idea how long the whole run may take?
The other half forgot I'd put my name down for the run and
has provisionally booked me as her chauffer!!!!!
(She doesn't drive!!) I'm not happy 'coz I REALLY don't want to miss it!!

Hi guys - sorry have been at my parents most of the day so forgot to have a look.
No I have not bloody washed my car .... too much rain! If we start at 08:30 - then you should be back round 11am! Depending on speed. Certainly if you use the M40 back from Bicester - max 30 mins .....
Fast Fred and Stuart Knight - sorry you can't make it - but we will make up for it!
KP - just come along - the more the merrier!
V5 Man - great to have you back - your WIY posts have been sorely missed ..... oh and I can't wait to tell you about the Power Engineering day .....

Did the waddesdon to thame leg earlier (Saturday afternoon) - there is an excellent point to get some clear air :O - just before you get back into Long Crendon there's a sign saying "hidden dip" and it really is hidden!! Took the crest at 60 in the astra and nearly got some air.

Hi all,
It was a good run for the car and also to see faces to put the names to. I told you I would try to keep up, but the baby of the bunch was no match for the biggies!! ha ha ha, Still we got there in the end....even if we did miss the photo shoot!! ha ha ha ha.
Will try to get in the next one...when the weather should be better.
Looking forward to the next meet!

Hi guys - wondered what happened to everyone - Chris and I waited for ages - and I even went pegging it off after a P1 - not sure who that was!
Chris got some full on **** out action on one of the tighter downhill bends but held it beautifully. Hope your passengers enjoyed it Chris!
Will do phone numbers next time ......
Spare a thought for Paul - whose MAF sensor died in the rain!

brrrooomm ....pop, bang, splutter, pop, bang, splutter, splutter
That's the noise a dead MAF makes!!
After a bit of breaky and the omnibus of hollyoaks (which cheered me up, mmmmm... Debbie Dean) I embarked on my mission to fix my car. It didn't take long as I found a huge puddle in my airbox and the filter was soaking! Looks like my modified air intake works as water injection, but not very sucsessfully. I'll be rethinking that one then!!
All fixed now, just to let everyone know if you ever need to buy a MAF for a 99-00 you can order the sensor (£70) only instead of the whole assembly (£250 - £300)

Unlucky Paul, glad you got it sorted though.
didnt really enjoy the run back on my lonesome, got lost, got stuck behind every farm vehicle in Bucks, lost it on a r/a/bout in chinnor, but just pulled in back in time before wiping out some bollards, and then some pr!ck comes out in front of me and completely smoked out Chinnor. looked like he`d filled up with diesel in his petrol fiesta. had to stop, as did everyone else, so we could drive again and see the road!!!
bring on the rolling road

The good news, well for you cliff, is that my car now feels slower
I'm not sure if a half knackered MAF could make it quicker and that sunday just finished it off! or whether my modded air intake was actually really good ( if it didn't let water in!! )
Really got to rethink that intake
