Update on my project!

Simon is right. In Demon Tweeks catalogue there are several to choose from that won't make the car look boy racer. Depends on just how much the interference is, but after such a project as this its small beer to do?

Thanks for all the comments...
...I still think that the modification that is being done to the manifold is the most straightforward...certainly more so that lowering the engine. In reality if it really is a problem to fix then I can put the manifold back round the right way.
I think David W suggested that instead of changing the mounts, the whole subframe can be spaced and dropped 10mm. Which is probably the easiest solution if I had to go that route.
In terms of injector spray pattern - it depends. The injectors I have have drive the fuel 'straight, with a very narrow fan shape. So raising them 10mm will make little difference. Some injectors with a wide fan or cone could be impacted and may be wetting the manifold more than supplying the engine!

David, I believe I made that suggestion whilst in your company.. and also whilst TUI.. (talking under influence )
I think it would increase the loading on the bolts, but I work with computers, not engineering stuff
I still disagree with the way your doing it..
I dont have a problem with it in theory.. I just dont see why you wont cut the flange off and tig it back on in a more appropriate place, ie lower / different angle.. (not other side etc)
0r a fill the holes, and service grind / vertically mill it..

David, check out the pictures in this months Jap Performance mag, there is an impreza picture with phase II manifold reversed, Injen tuned car, it has a neat adapter plate and tube to get over the clearance issues.
