Ste,
I've driven both Mike's Escort and the scooby.
You're trying to make the comparison between a 400+ bhp esc cos with fully set up trick suspension geometry and APs all round, and a standard UK 300 scoob?
Look, this could go on for years, as it's the age old cossie/scooby debate, but at the end of the day, whether you like em or not, you can't rubbish the scoob, as it's probably the second best point to point car in manufacture today behind the EVO.
I know - I've driven nearly every variation of scoob out there, and they're all great cars to drive. Yes, they have their faults, but you can bet your *** the cossie's got more!

Yesterday I had a trip upto a well known tuner that used to work for Cosworth when Ahmed Bayjoo was there. Fair enough, some people like him and some don't. In the past few years hes branched into doing Japanese cars too, and he stated undoubtebly that the Cos was a far superior car. He had 3 scoobs in for engine rebuilds (incl. one type r limited peccy PMSL, crank as strong as melted chocolate LOL) and he says its a constant streem of them.
Surely you trust his opinion over any biased views on here, he works with them both on a daily basis!
And as for Scoobies handling immensly well.... me and J_p_h saw thats not the case this afternoon LOL

Tim i feel for the guy today but how the hell you can lose a car in the wet on a straight road is beyond me.
Hope it's an easy fix but it sure didnt look that way.
Dont think i should have fish tailed the car by him though he looked like he was gonna die lol.
Big up the RWD massive lol.

Peccy, like I explained to you, this guy builds engines for a living, hes not gonna make up the fact the crank had gone is he?
I'm picking knowles up, but John is running him back
