Ok Rick I’ll give you a bell before I leave. My olds will be coming along in their bug eye, so there’s another one for the list (Jen M).
Get your self along Yoza I think I can remember what you look like

Griner - and any other Blackpool locals,
Yes, I will go to B&Q on Thursday @ 8pm, as you suggest, and meet you there to help finalise the planning.
I already had a look (see my post on bottom of page 3 of this thread) and the B&Q area seems OK.
See you on Thursday.

Still minus my pc ...thanks to the service quality of ntl.
dj watts ..can you give me a call mate, thought i had your number ...but havent. if anybody needs me to contact them., please email your fone number to D.K1 or Turboray, and they will forward your number to me.
The details for meet points seem to be pretty much sorted now, apart from any local meets.
If any of the Blackpool lads ..could make contact, that would be useful ..so we can tie up any loose ends.
ive copied the map that was on page 2 (times 50) so if we get anymore than that..... we're up that street ...!!! as im off work now til next week.
'Griner'we must have been on the same wavelength..thanks for the call.
See you all soon ...
hope to be online ...by friday

Me and White Tornado met up for a swift half at the outside in pub last night (thats next to B&Q) n checked out the area again. If the main car park IS closed there should be plenty of parking at the roadside as the road doesn't really lead to anywhere. Challenge will be to get the convoy down to the lower prom norbreck area. Lookin forward to it! See u all sunday.

Me and my family will be at B+Q at 7.30 on Sunday, just to help out, we are really looking forward to it, even if it is just to have a gander at all the different Scoobies that are going to be there
Message to GAZZAS WRX i thought there was a few coming from your neck of the woods, but if not, dont go from Lancaster to Charnock, may as well come straight to Blackpool email if you want my mob number for directions

Ok some interesting development has happend.
Today i got an email from the BBC wanting to do a cover event in Blackpool with this sunday's event.
Here is the email i recieved about this:
"Hi there
I work at the BBC on a programme called Inside Out and am interested in making a film about fast cars, cruises and the guys and girls that are into it.
I'm interested in the blackpool cruise on the 2nd November and would be really keen to talk to you about that and the scene in general.
Please reply with your phone number so I can give you a call or call me on.........
Look forward to hearing from you."
The email originates from a BBC reasearcher and is ligit.
They are wanting to do a cover story in Blackpool and of my CruiseBlackpool website and also the cruising scene as a whole.
At the moment i don't have any more info than this as its too early to ring but i will be doing so in a few hours.
The upshot to all this is that we can possibly get are Scooby's on TV and really show the country the support for our car and our passion in life.
I will post here with more info when i know and nothing may come of this but from the email i recieved there seems to be a great interest by her and the BBC for Sunday.
At a guess if all goes well they may cover the event down at Blackpool and some other coverage around the UK to support cruising and our cars.
Fingers crossed here then...

Ok had chat with the lady at BBC and its not a deffo set in stone but there is the possibility of her coming down to film.
Ive also spoke to frank who is going to try and get in touch and stir some interest.
Fingers crossed the the BBC will be there but if not then there is the possibility of them filming at a later date at a future meet.
However things turn out with the filming its going to be good anyway and i have a hunch it will be even bigger than the last.
I have 11 confirmed locals from Blackpool this time which is a good result and with only 1 day to go i will see you all there very soon.
Roll on Sunday!!
white tornado:
I am going to ring the Gazette to see if they would be interested.
If they are then all the good but if not then its no problem cuz the Subaru's will make the day!!

Finished on the phone with the Gazette and they might be interested.
The only problem they mentioned was the night and night photography could be a problem.
Anyhow they know the time and place so its left up to them.

Just another little map of the B&Q site for everyone when coming off the M55 roundabout turn off.
Left off the roundabout and B&Q will have some late night customers...
