Yes, as one of the "locals" I would be interested in meeting up before the meet to finalise details. What do you suggest?

i'll be at the on the slip road just of the M56 at 5pm, ready for those come from Helsby, which is a 5pm depart..

then its onward for us to Burtonwood ...so will be at Burton wood as soon as we can cross the dreaded Runcorn bridge ...

and after that its onward for Charnock Richard ..

Im going to photocopy the map left on an earlier post, as i guess thats the route we're sticking too... and i'll give copies of that out at Charnock.

Hopefully my pc is back online tomorrow , but im away then until friday ...

Any one from from Blackpool, if u have my fone number, vcould one of you guys give me a call... just to finalise a meet point ..

White Tornado, I can pretty much make any night this week for a pre-meet, how about thursday if any of you other local guys are free?

RedWRX If us locals get this pre meet together i can give you a bell to set up meeting point for sunday.

Meeting point, is pretty much opposite the speed camera, as you come up the xpressway from the M56 roundabout.

That way the travellers can see us as the some off the motorway, and give enough room for eveyone to pull in.


5.00 - 5.15pm depart at that meet point.

5.15 Runcorn
5.45 - 6 Burtonwood (warrington)
6.45 - 7.15 Charnock Richard
app 7.45 - 8pm Blackpool.


Other local meet points need to be posted as confirmed as requested ....

Blackpool lads if you can confirm the meet point as you think best, ...ive copied the map from page 2 as the aimed planned route..

Can you let me know if there is any plan to change that ...

smacs, just to keep it simple, we will do what we did the first time, that is: meet at pcworld in stockport, then convoy over to charnock richard on the m6. same route as before, only this time, we'll try not to lose everyone in blackpool!

Yes, Thursday evening is fine for me, for the "locals" to meet to finalise details. I don't know who the others are, though.

Where & when do you suggest? Anywhere in the area is OK for me.

 

Frank, if you need to get online between now and friday, just pop round and use our pc

b4uce, we don't kno3w if we're able to make it yet, we have a problem with our scooby it should be fixed in time for the weekend, that is, if no other problems arise after the job is done
if we do go, we'll be meeting at helsby, possibly with anothe one or two in towe

RedWRX I think we should go for the first meeting point in Blackpool still being the B&Q area off the first blackpool junction. Its easy to find and from there we'll lead everyone to norbreck which is north of lights for re-group. As long as all are agreeing with this plan?

White Tornado and other locals (where r u all?) if we meet up before sun it might be an idea to meet at B&Q and check out the area at the same time. Say 8pm thurs??

hey steve !!!

we don't want to miss it but our car is a bit more fooked than your's ,i can't move it, cams have slipped and the belt needs replacing ,and when that is done i hope there is no other damage as there is a metalic knocking in the engine ,hope it's just the cams and pistons not working together properly.

it has been sugested that we come along in the astra but that does not sound as appealing as the scoob.

Wow not checked the thread for 2 days and there has been a massive 25 replies since.
Ok then so the route is planned out for Blackpool that i put up on page 2 of this thread but rather than joining from red bank road as i set it out we should take the next big turn off up the road at Norbreck to avoid the traffic flow onto the lights.

Here is the new map to show the adjustment to reflect this.

Directions:
Start: Depart FY4 5LU (B&Q) on Local road(s) (South)
1: Bear LEFT (South) onto Local road(s)
2: At roundabout, take the FIRST exit onto Local road(s)
3: At roundabout, take the FIRST exit onto A583[Preston New Road]
4: Turn RIGHT (North) onto A583 [Whitegate Drive]
5: Keep STRAIGHT onto B5124 [Devonshire Road]
6: At roundabout, take the SECOND exit onto A587 [Devonshire Road]
7: Turn LEFT (West) onto Guildford Avenue
8: Bear LEFT (West) onto Norbreck Road
9: Turn RIGHT (North) onto Local road(s)
End: Arrive FY2 9AA (Norbreck/North Lights)

Hope this is ok and that i have got the route planned right now as we really need to be getting this set in stone for everyone now.
The new maps not that different from the other one i posted up on here but now its 100% for everyone to use.
Lets just make sure at the B&Q meet in Blackpool that when we do set off to go to the Norbreck North end to start the lights that there is at least one of us local at the front to keep us all together and on the right track so we don't lose anyone.

PS.
I also had my Subaru vandalised on Monday night with some tw*ts in a blue nova driving up beside the side of my car real close and the passeger opening his dorr on purpose full pelt into the side front door on my car.
At the moment the car is in for a respay on that door to sort out the dent on the car but i should get the car back for Sunday no probs.... Thank god!!
I will talk about this in more detail at the meet.
