I reckon they should tax drivers by annual mileage covered, paid monthly or quarterly. Why should I pay £155 odd to do 5000 miles a year when a sales rep doing 50,000 pays exactly the same. He / she wears the roads out 10 times more than I do. The charge could be levied on the registered keeper of the vehicle if all mileages were taken at MOT time. This would also cut down on car crime to boot!

Scooby96 - I agree - although, he pays more in fuel costs, so he is paying more tax.

Scrap car tax and put ALL tax on fuel duty - then it IS fair as proportional to usage and environmental damage.

New hospitals being built all over - bolox

Hospitals closures on the increase - the number of beds available now than when TB came to power is shockingly lower. Waiting lists are longer by a long shot.

PSL - lets hope you dont require a hip replacement if you rely solely on the NHS. You could wait 2 years or more!

I happen to think school standards are slipping - certain Primary School kids dont even have to wear a uniform these days!! The number of schools falling below the National Average in terms of league tables is also shocking.

I'm sure it was Blair who puts increases on boat licenses (oops sorry - forgot you didnt buy one!) VERY RESPONSIBLE.....NOT!
