Can't really add much that hasn't been said either here or on 22b...
Very sad news but happy memories of Carolyn for Dave and those who were close to her I'm sure
I first "met" Carolyn on scoobychat a few years ago - she took it upon herself to regularly take the micky from me for reasons I still dont know! When I first met her in real life at a trackday she was just as funny and witty.
A sad loss, my thoughts are with you Dave

My thought are with you too Dave.
Like many of the people who have responded here, I have never met either Carolyn or Dave, but I know from experience how knowing other people are thinking of you at a time like this helps.
My respect to Scoobynet too.

Not much I can add apart from my own thoughts go out to Dave and his family.
I joined scoobynet around the same time as Dave and Carolyn and enjoyed the posts and threads over the last 3 years. Our paths crossed once or twice at track days etc. and it was just so sad to hear this news.
There is a thread on the Alfa BBS as well, no community likes to loose one of thier own and we can only imagine what Dave and his family are going through.
Very nice thing for Simon and Shaun to do.

The "his & hers" Scoob pictures were always funny. Although we don't know each other well Dave, I do have to admit it was a shock to read that someone who was a long time poster passed away so young. It does put things in perspective...
Very sad news, my sincere condolences.

I met Carolyn for the first time when i was invited to stay at Dave and Carolyn's home the night before a Karting event being held down south. That gesture in itself summed up what a great person she was, opening her home up to someone she only knew via this BBS.
She made an instant impresion on me, she was very warm and friendly and had a great sense of humour. What also became very obvious was that Dave and Carolyn were the best of friends as well as husband and wife, they had a very special relationship.
The loss of Carolyn is very sad, she was a very special lady. My thoughts are with you Dave.

Deepest sympathies to you Dave, sounds like this community has lost a good 'un, from all the posts.
Lost a friend years ago to cancer and always do what I can for research charities.
Well done SN for the mark of respect yesterday.

Dave, although we have never met please accept my deepest condolences at your sad loss.
I have like others, enjoyed reading many of your and Carolyn's posts on Snet over the years. I hope that you take some comfort from the sentiment that is being expressed by many of the bbs's users, far more eloquently then I could ever hope to.

Dave,
So sorry to hear this sad news. I remember how helpful you both were in the early days when I was trying to convince myself that buying the STi7 was the right thing to do.
Sharing your experiences freely with me helped me to make the right decision, critical and timely input which I have not forgotten.
There are dark days ahead of you where nothing will seem worth it, your grief will know no bounds, and your reason for living will be sorely tested. But out of the darkness will eventually come a ***** of light, and life will slowly, slowly start to turn around.
I hope you find the strength to come through this. Carolyn will live in your heart forever, as she will in the hearts of all those who knew her.
My deepest sympathies.

I First met Carolyn and Dave way back in 2000 at a driving meet In Cambridge. Carolyn was telling us about Dave's diy antics which ended up with him having his wrist In plaster, the way she told the story had me cracking up.
I knew Carolyn had been Ill recently but was hoping she had beaten it.
Carolyn, you are deeply missed by everyone who has met you, may you rest in peace.
Dave, my thoughts are with you, I can only Imagine what you are going through.
