Just to let you know I will be coming down with a newbie tonight and another off the board who I dont think has replied to this thread.
So you will have to iniciate him the same way as you did me by ignoring him all night

Breaking the ice is always the hardest bit, you do not always come over as the friendlist bunch at first, but once you all get talking it is It is knowing which group of people to tag onto?

Nexuas, I know what you mean. Karen and I often comment that when we see new people turn up they must think we are a "clicky" bunch. We have been in the same situation with the original Surrey meet that used to meet at the Cricketers on the A30 on a weeknight. At the time we turned up, and only knew Alex (Dr Evil), whereas Trout (Rannoch), Andy Tang, etc.... we all very "clicky".
This is one of the reasons we (Neil and I) started the Bracknell meets, as they were all from the other side of the M3, and all lived near to each other, etc.... whereas we obviously didn't know anybody. Through this period of meets (over 2 years ) I guess we have all got to know each other and become good friends, so we are going down a similar path as the original Surrey Meet.
I try to get around and speak to people, but sometimes it is hard. I know Steve (Spider) and J (ScoobySnack) try to do the same as well.
But thanks for the comment though!

Nah mate - all we saw was the copper chasing after you
G - nice car mate Took Steve, J and Ian out in mine, but the boost was creeping up and by the 3rd trip my brakes had gone!!
Was another top night - and what a turn out. Sorry to the two scoobs that left near the end, didn't realise you were with us!
Anyone going to the pub tomorrow look out for Peters glasses screw
J - thanks for the spin in the Griff - nice
Cheers again to Brett and Angie - 52 meals cooked - flipping eck!
And good to see theres a fair few sad aeroplane geeks too!
See you at the next one, and hopefully I'll have the boost sorted by then to take those out I couldn't tonight (and I'll make sure I've got more petrol too!).
Cheers
Neil
P.S - Cheers to Tavia for being the first person to have even heard of the make of my tyres and pointing out they are in fact worse than Avon ZZ1's - my most loathed tyre

Graham, after the 'buster' meal, I couldn't have eaten any more anyway! I'll leave that black pud hose in the boot just in case, thanks mate!
Twas a good meet - didn't get a chance to say hi to everyone, but will try again next time. Can't remember the guy's name, but it was a nice trip down memory lane to see a B reg Mk2 golf there - complete with mahoosive brakes!
Who knows, next meet I may actually have fitted some of the mods I've had lying round in boxes for ages (nah - that'll never happen, will it?)
Cheers,
Steve

Nice to see that Ian and Paul finally () made it over!
J - cheers for the spin in the Griff. On a sunny day with the top down that must be fab! Don't think it'd quite suit my 15K a year commute tho!
Edit cos I'm a muppet and forgot tho thank G for a quick blat in the Evo. Cheers! Makes a nice noise for an inline 4

Steve, no it won't!
Was an enjoyable meet, and a rather busy pub by all accounts! Lots of new people turning up, some of which we did not realise were with us until they got in to their cars at the end of the evening. Sorry for not saying hi to you guys.
Paul, you will get to know more of the faces if you come back again next time. Was good to see you and Ian make it though.
It was also fun watching peoples faces when they were getting out of the various passenger rides they had been on.... and I think it will be a mememorable night for the new member of staff at the pub. First off having to face all of us turning up and bombarding him with our food and drink orders, and secondly for his "quick" trip out with Brett. Top service by all the people at the pub, more so than normal due to them being full with other customers at the same time as us. Cheers Brett and Angie.
Neil, lets hope the brakes hold up a bit longer for next months "passenger rides with the Supemeister".
Peter, we did wonder who was doing a flyby! The traffic police car wasn't all that far behind you either!
Oh well, look forward to seeing you all again at the next one.
Scott
