went to simpsons salvage today, they have a sti5 intercooler for £75
good for someone with an old slanty one like mine, i would have had it but left my wallet at home i couldn't see the turbo but it should be a TD05 i was told these are the best and can be converted to front entry
Ads, they have **** loads of seats, some really nice black and grey ones as well as ones like mine

 

Well ive managed to get some shiny **** to cover my inter cooler,
its like gold leaf, but its made of aliminum and is good to deflect heat up to 1500 degree's C!
we use this stuff at bp to deflect heat away from turbine's which run at 1100degree's C.

so it should stop some of the heat soak in to the int'cooler from the turbo,

i mean what was subaru thinking when they made the inter cooler , black soak's up heat more then any other colour! why not make them silver like the sti's..????

and for my next trick today i did 267.8miles on a full tank!!!!
but the light came on just before i got back to hull, so another £42 of optimax!!

 

Scooby New. yeah, there`s a couple on here I`m keeping my eye till the money comes through. Got a letter on Fri-morn basically saying `nearly there`with the money so next few days I hope. Typical, just bought another little 205 to smoke to work in. Doubt it would get me to Elvington and back though, let alone keep up! Might ask Andy if I can borrow his Esprit V8 twin turbo. What do you reckon????? (that`ll be a no!!!!!!!!!!!! then)

 

Oh, and I got a rough insurance quote from a friend in the business on a 94/95 turbo/WRX. £540 with a £270 excess on a turbo... wrx about a grand! Big difference. That rules an STi or Type RA out then unless I try a few more like L+V etc.

 

and the best bit is she works part time in halfords and got me 15% off some lowering springs and a stereo lead
