Oh john????
John those 15 inch would be better for drag strip? 15"'s wont fit with 4pots m8!! also there nothing worng with a silver scoob aslong as it has a front mount intercooler !!! do you know anyone personaly i think all scoob's should be BLUE!!!!
Oh yes i have managed to fix my high level spoiler, got some 13mm studs and fixed them in with fiber glass resain! now as strong as ****!
also sprayed the inside of the new boot last night , even laquerd it so will have the shiny'est inside boot in the history of subaru!
Just got ta paint the out side of the boot but not putting it on the car til i get the clifford fitted! as i dont want the scum trying to get the spoiler off again before i get the new alarm!
Ads will give ya a call later m8...
Been talking to jason and he's got a new engine going in his car next week as he found out that number 3 piston was melted! he's told the guy thats putting the new mota in his scoob that he want's the old mota back! so he can get trading standards to have a look at it to see why the piston melted?
as he thinks the garage that fitted it after he had it rebuilt by them may have done a bodge job and thats why it went bang!
it does seem strange that this is the 3rd time its been back to this garage, when he got it rebuilt the first time he only had it 2 month's than the head gasget went!, 2 month's after that the cam belt went! and as you know on the way back from well lane turbo center, it went bang again which we first thaught was the turbo oil seal, but have since found out it was and the piston melting.......
Also big thank's to Mr Bell for sending me gary's number where i got my boot lid from
thank's Alan
catch yal later Pumster

Not another silver one
I've got an STi backbox off a P1 if it's any use to you?
Does anyone know how the aircon system works? What causes the disc on the front of the aircon pump to start spinning? Is it electrical or does it work on the pressure of the system? When I put my aircon on there's a loud click, both radiator fans start up, the disc on the front of the pump starts spinning and I can have hot or cold air blowing into the car. When Mike (my bro-in-law with the Terzo) puts his on, there's the same click and spinning of fans but the disc on the pump doesn't spin and the air blowing into the car is warm. Does it just need re-gassing or is there something else to check first??

Pumster, I know mine works properly 'cos I frequently have to use it cos my car seems to steam up like a feckin sauna when it's raining
I told Mike just to get it re-gassed but he was worried that there might be something more seriously wrong seeing as the disc on the pump doesn't spin?

He was worried that if he paid £60 to have it re-gassed and it turned out to be the pump that was knackered he'd have to buy a new pump and then shell out another £60 to have it re-gassed again!
Steven you have one of the best stocked garages I've ever seen If it turns out to be the pump we'll know where to come
Thanks guys!

Big john mate best mate do you fancy fitting an intercooler im buying?
not as hard as ads its just a later top mount intercooler, needs work to plumb it in properly though
this is what the seller told me -
The later intercoolers are larger than the early slanty versions and have a better flow rate. Reading on SN, most people seem to report that the car will boost a fraction higher (but noticeable) with this conversion.
It's not a straight swop for your current intercooler as adapting brackets have to be made up and the dump valve taken off and the hole blanked off. Also it's quite a tight fit in the engine bay and generally some 'shaving' of the throttle body has to be carried out to make sure it goes in.

A63 40MPH
Taylor.m, I also have just received a FPN for the A63: 48mph in a 40 zone, £60 and three points.
I'm having difficulty sussing where I was snapped???
At the time alleged, I can have only been on my way into work (i.e. from Hessle, turn off at Hessle Rd flyover towards infirmary) and I know there is often a van parked opposite waiting to snap drivers coming down the flyover from town.
I can only assume, that plod was sat in front of van on other side of road with a radar gun, catching drivers both ways...fekkers! Shouldn't they be out catching real criminals...etc...etc...
