Pum,
You're not having much luck. Was this from outside your house?
Thing that amazes me is that these underpriveledged people must have been born in the shallow end of the gene pool as it is obvious the thing must be bolted through the bootlid so how do they think they can just pull it off.
Jet car at Melbourne yeaterday - 182 mph in 1/8 mile, I thought it looked a little slow off the line but it sure picked up a bit. My hearing is just recovering.
Cheers, Diccy.

PS no more hunting for Optimax, this would work on cheap diesel.

Mornin all Been busy so haven't posted for a while.
Pumster - sorry to hear about your boot - you're not having much luck recently are you? Are you sure it was a white cavalier? I was at B&Q the other day and there was a white Astra/Belmont saloon thing cruising the car park looking VERY shifty - 2 scum-sucking-mother-fu(kers in baseball caps inside. They pulled up alongside my car as I was walking back towards it and were having a good look inside, when they saw me they drove off again. I reckon if I'd been a couple of minutes later I'd have had a smashed window or door lock and no stereo As I drove off I saw them slowly driving around having a good look at other cars. And some b@stard has been prowling round my house - got up yesterday morning to find my wooden patio table smashed to pieces - looks like someone has climbed over my gate and stood on the table and gone through it! So I'm on the look-out for a dodgy fat b@stard with sore shins and hopefully splinters of wood up his ar$e. Looks like I need to invest in some CCTV like The Pumster's. Especially now I've got my wheels on Fitted 'em last night, the car looks MILES better.

If you can get yourself down to Stoneleigh park in Warwickshire today they're auctioning Concorde memorobilia. This includes the engines, if you could pick up one of these you could get yourself a fearsome reputation at the Scooby shootout. D.

Hello Steven Yeah it seems to be going OK thanks - it's just about stopped smoking now and the smell is gradually going away . The car sounds different, more "whistley" if you know what I mean, especially when cold and being driven gently. But when it's warmed up and the loud pedal is pressed, it ROARS . The flames are just an added bonus and an excellent talking point
Quick, edit your last post and remove the reference to the "other thing" before everyone sees it - I haven't told anyone about it, it's TOP SECRET at this point in time!!!!! Haven't had time to try it out yet tho...........
Any progress with yours??
Steve

morning men
THANKS FOR ALL YA SUPPORT GUYS
steve if ya want me to fit ya CCTV give me a call , does the car feel a bit twttchy on the road now steve?
If ya dont want the cctv i will lend ya my german shepheard for a night or two, going to park car in front garden from now on and put dog kennal next to in, so they can only get past the dog with about 50'pound of T-bone steak (welldone) as the dog only likes the good stuff!!
diccy yes outside my house!, been talking to a guy at clifford alarms direct and they said the standard subaru alarm is only good for stopping the car been driven away not for outside damage as there is no outside sensor's only in side!!! which means they have to smash a window or force the door lock which we be pricey!!!!!!
so getting new alarm fitted next week clifford concept 600+, fitted at home so i can ask lots of silly questions to the fitter! i may even offer to put the kettle on! how rare is that!!

PUM, what made you decide on the 600? It doesn't have a glass tamper device, but the 500 does and you can add a tilt motion sensor.
After I heard about your spoiler, I went out and wound the sensitivity up full on my boot lid, it goes off now if you tap it with your finger.
Those breakers:
Townend Garage
Grade A Subaru
Midland Impreza
If you go on the SIDC site and look under links, there are a sh1te load of dealers/breakers/suppliers.
Hope you get sorted soon m8, fekin t0ssers want shooting - mind you, that's too good for them!

Pum, can't say I've noticed much twitchiness with the new wheels. I was expecting it to be a real hard ride, twitchy, and loads of tramlining, but so far I've been pleasantly surprised! I haven't driven it properly yet since fitting the wheels but I've noticed the steering is much more responsive - like going round roundabouts, you just point and go!! I think I'm gonna take a trip to TSL or somewhere tho and get the steering geometry/alignment set up properly - looking at the car the wheels look like they're all over the place, all at different angles!!!
Steven - when's the engine coming then? If you need any help let me know, I can't offer any technical advice but I'm good at holding lights, making tea and handing people tools
Steve
PS. Pumstar - how much is the new alarm costing?

Engine is in my garage, ready to go back in.
Pum, clifford 600 with extras is excellent. Cant remember what mine cost, but feel a hell of a lot more comfortable with it.

it can also comprimise the immobiliser,
I wouldnt bother with either a turbo timer, or remote start on a clifford.. what purpose do they serve?
the remote start doesnt integrate with the immobiliser, so worthless imho.
Clifford Owner, amongst other security.. also dog owner

steven just under £700, like i said it does have the remote start and turbo timer but you can turn them off, the guy at GAP Security said with the black jax anti high jacking turned on the insurance is ok! they also offer clifford insurance through a broker of there's with discount because you have a clifford and all the details are stored with them the insurance can check with them so you dont have to post your prof of having the clifford fitted!
david i also have a very big dog but it only takes a second or two for the damage to be done. the ***** that did my car at 3am monday morning was only at the car less then 9 seconds! result new boot & spoiler! not happy thats why iwant the clifford!
