Adam, do you seriously mean VTA for vacuum hose?? Vacuum hose is usually very small.
What boost is the car now running, and have you had it remapped yet?
Give me a ring 07795328063

Hitchhiker?
Can someone pick me up for the meet please ?? Anyone can collect me, I'm not fussy Steve I'll ring you when I've posted this and grovel a bit
About time I went again I suppose, but I might as well get a lift than slow you all down. You need someone "on the outside" to keep your perspectives right
And I want to see Ad's new BBQ grill - I bet it does sausages to a tee
Was that what you were doing on Sunday then Pum? Did you realise it was me parping and waving? I'm sure you recognised Ferne in the passenger seat
And for he record she has said she doesn't think she would have another Scoob, having now had two and seeing how many there are about. When we got our first one they weren't popular, but of course the older ones are more accessible to the masses now. Who knows what will be next, but whatever it is it won't be fo a few years.

Ah, the elusive Mr Carmichael returns!!!!! Not sure that I should be giving a lift to a traitor, who will doubtless sit there complaining about the noise, and the lack of refinement in the passenger cabin, and how my car doesn't handle as well as his green one etc etc etc I think you should pitch up in the Toyota so the car park doesn't just contain Scoobs!! 7:15-ish OK?????
Mr Darley, will you be honouring us with your presence??
Ads, if you set off at 7.28pm you'll probably get there at about the same time as me, 7:30

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I'll get a cushion for the discomfort and some earplugs for the noise, and be ready at 7:15
Now, if I could find some green tinted specs to correct that colour..

Hi all,
Yes I'm still about. I only work Tuesdays and Wednesdays to pay for bits for the car, us old retired gits don't want to overdo it.
Planning Goodridge brake hoses and Ian Godney Alcon discs for my Brembos in the near future.
I'll be there tomorrow night.
Cheers, Dick.

Bathroom type builder/Plumber needed
Morning each, how's things?
We have been let down by the guy who was going to do our bathroom. Can anyone recommend someone who can: move a bath, plumb in a new sink, shower and toilet, plasterboard a roof, fit new lights and box in a boiler?
Basically do all the stuff in one swoop instead of getting three/four different peops on it.
Answers on a postcard to...

Driving home last Wednesday I saw something that made me think.
Just turning off near my home in Beverley when I saw a P1 (don’t know who it was) coming the other way. At first I thought he was flashing me (so I flashed back) but it was then clear that he was flashing and hooting a White Van that had turned right from a side road in front of him causing him to brake. P1 driver was obviously angry about this.
I used to get like this but I don’t do it anymore as I put myself on a personal development course 2 years ago which has set me on a different path. One of the keys to this is to take the trouble to look at things differently (partly drawn from Buddhism) and I’d like to share the following:
1. I’m quite sure White Van Man (WVM) has a hide like a rhino and was completely indifferent to all the flashing and hooting.
2. If he did take some exception then the next time he sees a nice blue Scooby with a big wing in a car park he might do it some harm. (And I’d hate to have my car damaged for something that someone else did).
3. Answer this: If you get angry who gets to feel bad? (clue – not WVM).
4. As a general rule if someone does something like this to you it is NOT personal, its just their s**tty way of living because they don’t know any better. Don’t take it personally, just let it go and enjoy a better life.
In the Scooby community we all drive exceptional cars. I think this places a responsibility on us to go out of our way to be courteous, helpful, and forgiving to other road users (yes even WVM).
Lets all be knights of the road when others are around.
Cheers, Dick.

D1CCY, i was driving to work the other day and a taxi driver came up the inside on a roundabout and cut across the front of me, the next day at the same roundabout a woman pulled out in front of me.
both times it was only because i jumped on the brakes that we never crashed. I have a 6 month old daughter and if she was in the car when some idiot did this i would do more then just flash my lights, and if she got hurt, seriously - i think i would do something stupid!

Nodsti,
Exactly my point, if you allow yourself to get wound up its you that gets to feel bad/unhappy. These people live in their own dream as I live in mine and you in yours, why allow yourself to take it personally when that's not really how it is. I've had a load of nails stuck in my tyres at work a few years ago because I hooted someone doing something silly and he decided to get his own back. Two 185/55/14 at £65 a pop makes it £130 a hoot. Who won, was I wise? I don't think I managed to change his behavior.
As for your roundabout - sounds like a bit of a blackspot, take extra care there, even if the accident isn't your fault its still bloody inconvenient. People make mistakes and more to the point I make mistakes so how can I allow myself to become critical when others do the same. Yes some of these people should have their licences taken away, its just that hooting and flashing doesn't make it any better. An even more practical point of view is that they may be a lot bigger than you or have a knife or shotgun in the boot.
I love arguing about this sort of thing, you'll find its like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you'll realise the pig is enjoying himself. Are you coming tomorrow night?
I'm really trying to help, honest. DICCY.
