i recomend getting an sqv. fitted mine on saturday with pums expert help and it makes a hell of a lot of difference. sounds realy cool too. the pick up between gears is fantastic. hardly any lag at all.

 

Hi all

PUM not finished me bumper yet its all prepared just waiting to get paid so i can buy the paint. Can you tell me how many coats of primer and paint i need.

Ben m8 you want at least 3 coat's of primer and 4 coat's of red with a fine rub down inbetween coat's with 1200 grit wet and dry paper with warm soapy water, make sure after you have rubbed it down you wipe it dry to get all the water off before you put the next coat on! hope thi help's

had a phone call from welptons today and all the parts have arrived.. woohoo.
all being well should have my car back on tuesday. it costing me £140 for the paint on the wing. the rest is being billed to the guys insurance including a lightweigh bonnet.
i think the bad experience that james had at welptons was a one off and without sounding like an advertisement for welptons, have found them very helpful and do know what they are talking about. will have to buy phil a drink at the next meet too.
ads might come to your your house over the weekend with a big screwdriver for you know what!!! ( no you sick people it isnt sexual) it appears on your wing and not mine.

PUM, can't thank you enuff for the lift up there m8, now are you gonna tell everyone how we messed our seats when we were doing around 110 and a set of blue flashing lights shot up behind us???

Only thing is, I called in a Welptopns to get a front indicator bulb, the guy behind the counter said after asking for the chassis number "If it's a japanese import we can't help you!"

???Is this correct? I recall Jordans going through this phase of Can't do anything without a (UK) chassis number.

Bryn m8 just pop to ya local motorist shop at top of ya street m8 they will have one ,

we will have to have a word with phil as to welptons policy regarding imports but surely a bloody indicator bulb aint going to any harm!

yes i did dirty my seat a little bit, there i was 110mph on my way home with bryn behind me looked back he was there turned up the tune's put my foot down look back again to see blue flashing lights about 6' foot behind me so was quick to pull over lucky for us he must of needed a dounut and kept on going.....

big j.was sorting his laptop out on sunday and signing on s/net...

i left him my decat d/pipe on sunday for him to see about getting some cheap copies done....

also pum..my wheel has twisted again so booked it in at b.j's on wednesday for him to look at steering bits etc..and fit my new pipe....

Hello All

Thanks must go to the Pumster for butchering my car yesterday and fitting my gauges - Boost and volts up and running but oil pressure not working yet owing to the sender unit not fitting underneath the alternator Tried them in the dark and they light up!! Boost only gets up to about 1 bar - is that right?? And the needle seems to vibrate a bit - is that right too??

Bryn - heard a lot of good things about your motor When do we get to see it????

Ads - thanks for pointing out the P1 wheels group buy mate That's over £100 cheaper than the "cheap" price that Phil quoted me!!!

Haven't done much driving on account I was full of flu over the weekend, PUM I hope I haven't passed it on (was coughing and sneezing in Steve's mota b4 anyone sez anything!) and am only just feeling bit betta.

On a course all week and have left camera at the office otherwise would have posted some pics. Still not sleeping well 'coz there is no proximity alarm on it and so every noise I hear I'm at the window, our lass reckons I should just sleep in it!

I think I've got some faulty wiring on the front indicator: swapped bulbs and it was ok, today it started winking fast again and swapping bulbs only proves they aren't blown, will have to investigate when I get chance.
