ads scoob?? the story so far
right then ads scoob!
it was an early start when ads pulled up at mine at 5:20am!! then got mike and big J,
it was nice to meet a fellow scoob owner of the north ,
andy-f was a top guy how un like us lot knew what he was talking about!
mike took a video of us in the car as andy was tapping away on his lap top!!
as ads said we suspect one of the single coil's is giving up and not giving a big spark which is blowing out at full boost about 5-6 revs, which feel's a bit like fuel cut.
also the standard gap on the colder plug's that ads is running is 0.7mm and they need to be dropped down to 0.5mm so they won't blow out as easy!
was thinking of changing the 4 single coil's to a coil pack as fitted to all scoob's after 1998 with the 4 red plug leads as this type run at 60 kv!
as the 4 single coil's that attach on to the spark plug's on ads scoob pre 98 only produce 30 kv (killo volt's)
the newer one basicaly give a bigger spark which is less likely to blow out.
the problem is the wiring is diffrent as the 4 single coil's fire every 2 turn's of the engine,
where as the single coil pack fitted after 98 fire every turn of the engine and work's on a wasted sparkn system!
pumster full of useless info!

I'd thought about Beverly Westwood but it might be all muddy?? What about Humber Bridge Viewing Area Car Park? You know the place near Home Farm (where me Ads and Carl went donutting in the snow)?
Yes I've got tonnes of piccies from SSO.

Ah Mr Darley - how's things??? There was a rumour that you were going to grace us with your presence on Thursday night - is it true??? If so I can pay you the money I owe you for the Dawes!!! Failing that I might pop across to the Buckles meet next Monday if it's on?
Anything else kicking around your garage that'd be suitable for my car???

Dont think i have anything else lying about that may be of use
You lot must operate via Jungle drums , this thread is getting too long, you dont look for a day, and its 5 pages longer!!

D'oh Me and my big mouth
This thread should get a bit quieter now that there's a parallel Hull thread in Muppets for the non-Scooby-related banter

saw a gorgeous Scoob today outside Bodyshop supplies. Thought it was Bryns at first (same colour/spoiler etc) but wide arched. (22b?). S-reg. Anyone off here? Looked amazing! I want, I want, I want!

Stiff - sounds like a 22B if it had wide arches, however the spoiler should have been different to Bryn's as his is an STi6. The 22B spoiler is a different height and has an adjustable top wing (same as the spoiler on Mike's Terzo). The front bumper and bonnet vents should be different too. Also the wheels should have been different - sort of "wiggly" spokes as opposed to straight ones, a bit like Nod's wheels.

Morning Oldie!
I've seen a 22B in Hull a couple of times. Spoke to the guy at Welptons Launch Day - he took Bryn and Pum out for a spin in it and they came back with the biggest grins I have ever seen!
Did You Know that there were only 16 official UK 22B's? And 2 of those are (or at least were) in Hull!!

Plan for tonight is to go to Humber Bridge Car Park to take some piccies while it's light (shiny cars please ). For those that have logged on here and know about it I would suggest go straight to the car park. Maybe one of us (Pum?) could go to the usual place and redirect people to the car park as they turn up????? Or we could park up at the first car park when you get to the river bank and intercept people on their way to Country Park??
