now then oldfella, been to the meet a couple of times ,we ve probably met, im the one with the white sti import, now with gas,don t have much time at the moment maybe ill get down one thursday and see u all again

 

have you run it with the gas on yet if so what do you reckon

 

i ve made one run with gas , but with the spark plugs im using ,which are a slightly cooler running plug im not entirely confident,avoiding detenation is the key and this is why ive ordered special plug from america, also keeping the bottle above 73 degrees can be difficult as the temp drops so does the pressure so u could end up just over fueling if the temp is too low,at the moment 25bhp jets are fitted,these jet are basically to test the exceptance of gas but even with this small increase the power is noticable, my intentions are to work my way upto 100bhp not forgetting to retard the timing by 2 degrees and when i ve done this who knows mybe ill beat the americans to mars

 

You obviously know what you are talking about with nos, just a suggestion but have you looked at the scoobycity site, dannyboy who is the chairman is a bit of a straight line man and i believe he has run nos for quite some time, just might be worth your while talking to him.

Glen, velcro sounds a good idea (least it`s not the spoiler like Pums!) Now there`s an idea Pum, velcro mounts for the spoiler! (bit dodgey at 145 though!) or you could always run with a small spoiler rather than give in to these c*nts as it seems that`s their main aim. I know you shouldn`t have to but at least you would still have the fun your having now. Pity we can`t catch these b4stards at it. They wouldn`t do it again.

now then stiff,in answer to your question the kit comes with 11ib bottle,selonoids,gas and fuel,all the wiring jets and switches,kit costs about £650.00,then u need to uprate plugs,which are about £60.00,ht leads(magnecor) which r about £80.00 and an uprated fuel pump which is about £150.00, for a decent and safe set up all in all it totals about a grand thats the down side the up side is that when u want to add another 50bhp providing ur engine is set up right it only cost u 12 quid for a set of jets

Don't wanna sound too negative mate but do you really think either one of those will be less attractive to the scumbags than the Scoob? And more expensive to repair I would've thought. Ain't it a ****ter when you can't have what you want for fear of someone else wanting it too?

i know what ya saying steve but skylines dont have big spoilers on them to rip off and they are to wide to fit on anyother car.

just sick of the scoob so its going to a dealer for £7000.

Pum- I think there may be but I`m not sure. I`m down for it if anyone else is but not till too late as I`ve got packing to do (and ironing before that ) Pum you also have PM.
Flin- car`s going really well thanks (well, for a standard one that is). Got the alarm fitted yesterday outside work so that`s a weight off my shoulders (and kneecaps as I was under the dash taking a fuse out every night!). Keep us informed with any updates on the bottle warmer etc and if there`s a meet tomorrow night, you`ll have to pop down. I reckon a couple of the guys would be interested in seeing how it`s rigged up. (maybe even get it themselves............?)
