NBO (Northern Big One) was arranged earlier this year with the intention of gathering as many scoobs in one place at one time.

We have come up with this initial Scottish version, although we have a track to play on.

We could have done with more time, ideas and organisational help, but as I said it is the first and hopefully more will follow.

The SIDC track day on the 13th was thought to be the best venue to hold McBigOne and was hoped that the track places would be given priority to Subarus.

At this moment in time I do not know who has booked track places and whether scoobs are still holding priority.

More info will be avaliable shortly on what's on and maybe JohnS can provide track place allocation.

I previously consulted JohnS if me booking up was okay and if I'd be welcome given my "foreign" vehicle. Having previous K'hill track experience in my own car it was perceived as not being a problem ??

Is it worth having a locked moderator friendly thread with confirmed people going on track ?

I too thought it was a list of track participants, and speaking for myself I like to see other makes on track, though as it is a SIDC day it is right that most should be Scoobies.

As always, there are an allocation of spaces held aside for non Imprezas/non-SIDC members, as otherwise there simply wouldn't be enough cars wanting to take part to make the event viable, unless people wanted to pay £150 for the 4 hours.

A recent poll in True Grip found that over 85% of members wanted mixed track events, so that is what we provide.

At the moment, we are still about 8 cars short of the break event point, though places are going very quickly in the past few days.

I generally don't publish the list of cars taking part in advance for a number of reasons.

It's looking like it's going to be a cracking event, with cars coming from all over the country for this one

Don't get upset Cal. Was only a thought for this date incorporating McBigOne, to encourage more scoobs out on track.

At NBO there was nearly 400 scoobs in one field with another allocated for other marques/clubs.

You can fart in my space suit any day!!

This is a special Scooby day with it being the BigOne, but as it is an SIDC day aranged by JohnS, cars have been booking on track as normal, both through John and the SIDC web site.

What has happened over the past couple of years is that the Scoob numbers have gone down, and the Elise/other marques have gone up, and this has enabled John to be able to book the track six months ahead, and be reasonably confident that he will get the numbers to cover the costs. As a result he always gets 40 plus, though some are at the last minute or on the day. There are quite a lot of none Scoob SIDC members now, however Skye and myself are the only Elise owners who come on here, and know what is going on across the board.

We do need the Scooby/Evo contingent to keep going on the track days, as it is the mix of cars that makes it such fun. Plus I need you to give me a run for my money<BG>

As John says, there are still track places available on the day, and with upto 50 cars, you can still get out on track on open pit lane when ever you want to.

So get the booking forms sent in..........
