Ok, I ballsed up! I didn't set the status of the league to ready so the draft didn't happen! D'oh! Not been a commissioner before!
So, Chris, you can still create a team, but it looks like we'll have to do the auto draft.

Ah! I didn't get it wrong - we need more players! Just seen an email from the Yahoo FF team:
Hello iain51,
Unfortunately, we were unable to draft players into your league (Scoobynet). This likely happened because you had less than four teams in your league at the time of the draft. We have changed your league to an Autopick draft and set your status to Not Ready. Once you have fixed the problem, you can either choose a new live draft time or set your status to Ready and have us draft your league. See the rules for more information.
One of my mates has joined in, so if Chris joins in we have the minimum requirement of four people. Come on Chris!

Chelle, I'll have a go at explaining....
This is slightly different from most FF leagues in that we all take turns to pick from the same pool of players. So, if I picked Ricky Williams, no-one else would be able to have him.
Yahoo has ranked the players based on how good a FF player they (Yahoo) think the player will be. When the draft happens it will take turns in picking a player for each team. Now, if nobody pre-ranked any players then the person with the first pick would get given Priest Holmes as he is ranked number 1. The next team would get given Shaun Alexander (No 2 in the rankings.)
The reason for pre-ranking is (IMHO) to have a strategy. You might want to make sure you get two top class running backs (RBs) with your two first picks, so you would load the pre-rankings with the RBs you were interested in. (BTW - RBs are often considered the most valuable points scorers) Alternatively, you might decide to choose a quarterback (QB) followed by some wide receivers (WRs).
So, how do you do it?
Go into your team page and click on EDIT PRE RANKINGS. Then click on EDIT MY RANKINGS. This will bring up a window with three boxes. Across the top are boxes to control what you're looking at - ie QBs only etc. The middle box show the Yahoo player rankings. If you want to rank Ricky Williams as the highest ranking player, click on him and then click on the arrow to move him to the right hand box. Do this with as many players as you like. You can also exclude players by moving them to the left hand box.
When Yahoo goes to pick you a player, it will pick the player listed first in your pre-rankings. It will do this, filling the available positions on your roster. So if you happened to have 20 QBs ranked ahead of anything else, then it would only pick you one, and then choose the next highest ranked player for another positions.
Phew - hope that makes some sense!

Kev - Errr....today in an hour or so....mebbe a lil later! If you've access to a computer it wouldn't take very long to just create a team. you don't *need* to pre-draft.
I suppose I could hold off untill about 1930-2000 if that would help. Let me know if you require the league id / password. Heck - here they are! League id#: 461568 Password: sial
Chris, nice one! Who'd ya put as #1?? Ron "Thunder" Dayne??? LMFAO!!!

Give me a fecking chance! I had to fecking get fecking home, all-fecking-right??!!
Read my instructions on page 2 () and decide!
I'd say it's worth having a go at pre-drafting a few players, but there's certainly no need to do all 15!

LOL, sorry Iain, that was actually directed at Chris the ******.
Can I just be lazy and have everything done for me? I don't want to jeopardise my team's chances you see. (Well, that's my excuse and I am sticking to it ).
Go the Dolphins.
