I just can't see either happening to me. A lot of my friends have started getting married and having kids. I don't know if I want to or not - I suppose you can only say if you get into one of those situations. I have only ever had one long term girlfriend and that finished nearly 7 years ago...

Bit off topic perhaps but

quote: "Isn't her view on kids a bit of a kick in the teeth for you..?? "

Not at all, if either of us were going to breed then it would be with each other. Just that we both dislike children and enjoy our freedom to much to make the sacrifices that they require. Maybe when we are both old we'll adopt.

We don't have any pets either, we prefer to travel and live as well as possible. All our friends that have kids are stuck in mundane 9-5 jobs having what's left of their youth sucked out of them. On the other hand they tell us that the joy a child can bring is unsurpassed by any other- perhaps one day we'll find out but for now I'm happy just enjoying what life has to offer us at the moment.

Why do people always say that? Totally inane comment- may as well say

"just as well a different sperm didn't fertilise the egg eh?"

Talking

LOL@ the jaffa comment

I've never tried to impregnate a female so I wouldn't know. Personally I'd regard it as a blessing if I was.

I just think that it's a particularly idiotic comment that people seem to make a lot, not necessarily in relation to me.
