Well it's the weekend so I'm back online.

Only needed 3 major operations to get over Lee's cooking, although Calder is of a more delicate constitution, so I'm afraid he's still laid up. Anyway, you can't moan about someone pinching your corner cos I normally beat you to it.

Hol-lite. Isn't that an oxymoron or something?

Anyway, add me to the list.

No, think that's here to stay

I appear to be struggling with my internet connection (presently at 1200 baud!) due to my friends at BT, but they think they may be able to fix it within a month or two So if you don't hear from me . . . .

** Update - ignore that last comment, it's been fixed within a day with coutesy calls to check and everything. Amazing what effect you can get by saying the right things to customer services managers. ** Sorry - no peace and quiet after all!

Hades

oxymoron?, My Dad always told me there there was nothing that you did on holiday that couldnt be cured by shot of penicillin I assume that means all Oxy's

Unfortunately, Hol-Lite can only be cured by copious amounts of sterling

Strangely, I've never heard of cures for oxymorons. I wonder if you can cure "military intelligence" ??? Getting a little surreal here.

Ian:

If they make their post long enough, the next person to post after this should be a Corner.

We are going to go & check out the site tomorrow to see if it meets up to our standards

'An oxymoron is a rhetorical figure in which contradictory terms are combined to create new meaning'
'An oxymoron is a contradictory word pair'

You trying to say Hol is not lite? LOL!

GTB & Lesley
Pele, Lee & Master Jake
Hol, Lady Hol, Junior Hol & Hol Lite
Ian (ew4n) & girlfriend + 1 (wagon maybe)
Hades
Arron & Kim

Did I get the corner yet? Perhaps this post was not long enough....

Honestly, I set em up, and you still can't land them properly

The words "reactor" or "blow up" did not come into the conversation. The words "alternative service provider" may have done.

How did you work it out then, I thought there were 20 posts to a page, therefore post 41 should have been the corner - or does it not work like that?

Never got round to counting posts; just worked on the basis of how small the scroll bar get (i.e. how full the page looks) You may be right, and I've just been lucky so far

Scouting mission accompished Had a look around the site today, loads of space & plenty of parking.
Entrance on the right between railway crossing & bridge, Mr Whippy is on the corner
For parking, pay your pound to the nice man, drive through the tarmac car park, over the cattle grid to the overspill grass car park - plently of space here & visible from the picnic area. There are no on site BBQ's but there are some picnic tables - spoke to the nice man & he said there would be no problem with us having BBQ's there as long as we tidy up after ourselves & don't set fire to the grass or the benches
Used the on site toilets, they work! Baby changing facilities also.
Is 12 noon OK with everyone?

Thank God you're alive! We were getting a bit worried for a moment there
If you are bringing a disposable BBQ, please bring some bricks to rest it on - we have a chef lined up for the occassion - dib, dib, dob, dob
Mark, if you could bring your lovely Gazebo it would be appreciated (sp) & some bricks
I will supply the salad, potatoes & rice for everyone, so we need rolls, burgers, sausages etc, and anything else you can think of - we also have loads of plastic plates, knives, forks & cups so we will also bring them & some disposable BBQ's

I might not make it, if it's pissing down, like it is just at this very moment and has been pretty much all day.

MACT,
Well if 'pch' makes it, we'll have a 'Fridge Fest'

Arron,
Don't be a tart, it's only rain

Took a look at the long range forecast..... it should be sunny.
