pointless thread IMO
a) you're asking a group of performance car drivers if they'd [sic] like more power - errrr, course they will i.e. it's not a representative sample and is not going to even hit Shell or anyone else's radar in terms of affecting their strategic direction or future marketing plans
b) you still can't get super unleaded everywhere which suggests the demand for this hasn't shifted the market completely to higher octane yet
c) most cars wouldn't run on it without being re-mapped (and >99% of the population therefore wouldn't buy it - the other <1% would only bother if there was sufficient coverage which feels a bit chicken and egg)
Anyone know the percentage split of fuel buyers, i.e. diesel: normal unleaded : super unleaded ?
sorry to put a downer on this - but I wouldn't buy 100 Ron for my P1 - it's bad enough making sure I can get super unleaded for it......

Super unleaded is available pretty much everywhere - Esso (97 on super) and Shell (98 on optimax) garages for sure.
Try fuel boost in your P1 and then say its not worth it !!
I would welcome 100 octane fuel here for sure.

You don't live in Scotland, do you? Even the major Essos in Glasgow (supermarkets and the like) don't usually have it - thank goodness for Optimax, God help anyone daft enough to head off patch without knowing where they are.......

You would need political will - not a fan club - to get it into the UK. Is it greener than normal UL or SUL ? If so write to your MP. If not forget it: there's a reason Esso SUL is 30p+ per gallon more than UL....they got us by the b*lls.
Incidentally, what's the maximum RON you can get (easily) in the USA?

Please post your name, scoobynet or real name here if you would use it if it came to UK. No other comments please.
Are you doing a similar survey on the GTR Register, the Lancer Register, SeatCupraNet, M5 Forum, BMW Forum, EVO Forum, SELOC, British Cars Forum, Blat Chat etc. etc.?
