Question

I'm interested but concerned that they might not be best suited to my PPP'ed MY02? Without a remap they won't offer the same benefits?

Also, who would fit them. I've not had any experience of Subaru specialists apart from my delaer (and I use the term specialists kinda loosly).

On the plus side I have been thinking of a replacement up and down pipe so this kit would get me on my way.

I'm a maybe at the moment whilst I dig around their website for some info.

Hi mate, you would not *require* a remap, all you are doing is making the car breath more freely.

However, certain people, for example myself who will be going from just a decat centre and rear, to a decat d/pipe / uppipe and headers, I *will* require a remap because my ECU won't understand where all this bloody air is coming from.

Were you to remap yours for the headers, you might find you could add a tiny tiny extra amount of fueling, but it would be insignificant and certainly not worth the money.

Speak to Powerstation or Power Engineering if you require more reassurance. My friend is fitting these headers to his sti7 PPP (remap PPP not piggyback)

Sorry, forgot to add they will take around 2-3 hours to fit. I believe power station charge £120, although TSL are closer to you.

I'm having a remap done as I also have an FMIC, larger hybrid turbo, uprated fuel pump and reg that will be fitted alongside the headers..
..should garner at *least* 50+bhp..

I was assured that to get the best from the headers (ie: inc full decat) that a remap is advisable.. thats all.

the buy will be going thru soon ish as I am out of the country from next week until the 15th sept, and the plan is to fit the bits at the end of october.. so I need to place the order soon to get them here in time.

have a think... as if you are keen then post up here and I will add you to the "list"

Chrome,

Please add me to group buy for these headers. Edcase has been working on me for the last week & has convinced me that these headers will work well and sounds awesome with my EcuTeK STi7 with de-cat & Firestorm.

Cheers

Paul
