Have to agree with the concensus.
Sit back and focus on something else for a little while like the house etc. It will give you enough time to make the right decision.
BTW Your car looked very good on Sunday mate.
Whats the latest spec of it? I missed a month or so of the forum leading up to TOTB

Carlos, thanks for the mail, helps focus the mind so to speak.
Chris, anytime, may use the other car i may have available
Edcase, weight is a good thought, still have steel bonnet.
Andy, i guess its around the 350bhp mark, and probably 340lbft torque, Spent quite a bit TBH (read £1,000's) getting it looking and performing how it is.

Agree with Paul I've pondered what to do next to my car for the past year - next step involves big money ie 2.3/2.5 dog/6sp box etc all for what ? to save a second getting to the 1/4 mile marker. Is it worth it ? mmmm ? I enjoyed driving my car more when it had 330 bhp as it felt like I had given it a good thrashing Now, even with the current power you really have to concentrate when peddling hard or it will bite you. Another 100+ bhp and its going to become a straightline machine and even less fun 'on the twisties'

Andy. Totally agree. My car is all about trackdays and b roads, which I why I am stopping when I reach 330-350 'safe' horses. In fact, I'm more worried about big torque than big BHP. The last thing I want is something that is too powerful for the handling. Currently my situation is the polar opposite

It's not so much that part John, thats fun
Its the power that has you approaching the next corner on your favourite road Waaaay faster that you have ever done before Then the faster curves which were 'flat with gritted teeth'(but left you smiling) now require a hard stab on the brakes !
Maybe I should buy an M5
