what does that reduce the top end to then?
I know that 4th is ratio'd to what? around 120mph? for both cars, so how much do you actually gain on 5th and 6th gear?
(uk sti hits the red line around 170mph??)

I have a spreadsheet I built up which shows this. I will send you it if I can find it. From memory I have the classic RA ratio's and speeds on there also.
It doesn't take account of aerodynamics though. At 4.2k rpm my car does ~90mph (JDM model) in sixth gear. That would suggest 180mph at 8k rpm. Don't think so! Not with a saloon car shell and the power it has. Now if it was in a Delfino!
