Don't go out of the house mate it's a dangerous world out there and make sure if you do buy a car make sure it's a nice sensible one like the Scooby so you never speed. What a bunch of bloody do-gooders!!! Try Christian.net and you will find alot of the same characters preaching on there(so i'm told).

Did you get done on the same stretch of road both times?

I ask because whenever I've seen a policeman with a radar gun/mobile camera, it automatically gets stored in my brain as a location never to even contemplate being slightly over the speed limit. It works as a deterrant for me at least.

I can't believe anyone who knows the popular spots for the police to hang out in would drive over the limit around them. Or am I just neive?

Dave A,yes,it was the same road,on the way to work.Copper must be hiding behind the bush. But I must say it has taught me a lesson to be far more careful in future. On this thread, some stuck up ones got great chance grind me down.Well,I hope they enjoyed it!The ones who could realise the ongoing torment, they told such big mouths to STFU,THANKS!BIG THANKS to them too who had some suggestions how to deal with the NIP.
Those preachers need to chill out!My starting question wasn't to ask for a group hug and biscuits(as some sad person suggested in his reply).I just wanted to know what I might face. The reason to put this question here was to get some advise and to tell other scoob owners to be careful as well.Penalty and fine and even driving ban is enough.Don't need any more grief!Have a good weekend!I will!!!

Jesus i hope i never meet some of you self-righteous ar$eholes (greasemonkey) who preach the fekin gospel.

Some of you really need to get out more and live in the real world.

Like being back at school and being told off by the fekin headmaster.

What a bunch of whinging pathetic sad an*l retentive idiots. Only thing you would get off me is the bird in your face.

Greasemonkey...you are off the planet. You aint normal mate. You speak like an 80yr old granny.

Really is pathetic reading all this 'halo on your head', 'holier than thou' crap.

Fetch me the vomit bucket.

79 yr. OLD BOY DONE on same strech as me.
the article says:
I have recived a notice for speeding after overtaking a slow moving veicle at the speed of 41mph in a 30 this was recorded by a video van on the A541 at westminster bridge in Wrexham I feel somewhat agreived by this action as I was within 50-70 yards of the duel carageway. It goes on-"Although technically I am guilty of the offence,I do question the validity of sitting a camera van too close to derestriction sign on a dual carriage way".

well said I say to all those preachers

he must be a Nutter as well?

I went over 40 in a 30 zone today and the adrenaline rush just knowing how naughty and dangerous i was being was unreal. Don't think i'll try that again though as i just feel fortunate to get away with it this once so please no preaching telling me how wrong i was. Thanks.

slasha I also dabble in this dangerous event. A few of my friends and I have started a little sport called 'Danger Speed!' where we try and attempt this dangerous, and as you say Adrenaline Pumping sport. On 1 occasion my good friend managed 36mph in a 30....Gasp I hear you say, yes we all knew he took it a bit too far on that occasion but he was shaking when he got out of the car so he certainly enjoyed himself.

On another note can anyone beat my record of just under 100 MPH in a 30?? This is true and I would be interested in your records. It has to be a true urban road though and not a 30 zone in the middle of nowhere, nor an industrial estate. This was down a normal straight urban road with houses either side. I await your replys.

Thumbs up

blah blah blah, yeah 'mate' i had mine on the limiter in 5th indicated 155 ,nearly binned it 3 times in that one attempt though one was a car who pulled out from a side street(don't these people look ), and the other two were both right turners as i overtook them(mirror,signal,MIRROR,manouvre...muppets!! )...phew..now THAT was close...., was ace fun though....

what a load of self rightious bull$hit.......

Jesus crist.....its your own bloodie fault for speeding, getting caught twice just simplifies the reply....you either a fool or a very unlucky person.

Yes speeding is not condonable, and yes it does cause the loss of life and times and it also increases the chances of accidents, but if you all look at how you drive day in day out you'll all see...you dont all stick to the limits do ya?

Speeding in a residental area is a massive no-no.....could you live with hitting or god forbid killing some one.....i could'nt.

As for the posts that state "SPEEDING OF ANYSORTS IS BAD".......why did you by a Subaru for.....a trip to sainsburys at the weekend, maybe becasue its a well rounded family runabout...or was it the fact that its a road going missle, and its tremendious fun to open up.
I can just see the new subaru adverts.....

I cannot understand why people come onto a BBS which is based on a 200bhp+ high performance, fast steering, fast moving car, then slate people who inadvertently go over the speed limit.

If you dont like speed, and speeders, then what are you doing on here??!!! Go out and buy a nice comfortable car, or been the true 'Subaru Enthusiast' that you'll probably claim to be, just sit down and watch a nice bit of rallying on the TV, you can even have a nice cup of tea while your on with it too!

Turbohot wasn't speeding inadvertently, she was driving from a dual carriageway into a built-up area with a school less than half a mile away. Not only that, it seems all the other traffic going her way was slowing down. Why didn't she get the hint and do the same thing?

If you dont like speed, and speeders, then what are you doing on here??!!!
I don't like people who speed with reckless abandon in built up areas because they're the people who are most likely to cause the sort of "Speeding Motorist Kills Child, 8" type accidents that get in the newspapers and give all of us a bad name.

As for not liking speed, where did I (or anyone else who criticised Turbohot) say that? I just prefer to test my skills on a track, or in a forest, where there's no danger of knocking some innocent kid over, or indeed getting nicked.

No worries Turbo.

You dont get this sanctomonious BS on the Mitsubishi Lancer forum.

They are normal ppl.

It really is sad to see a performance forum plagued by the likes of the do-good PC brigade like Greasemonkey.

We dont need the perils of speeding pointed out like a stuck record.

'you shouldnt speed in a built-up area blah de blah'...just fek off somewhere else with your high and mighty BS!

Hopefully these sad excuses for car enthusiasts will go and join a hippy commune in India.
