Not sure why anyone would "laugh their b0llocks off" if Leeds did go under, but that's probably something to do with myopic football tribalism which i'm afraid i've never quite understood.

Jonto, there's been nothing mentioned about refusing a playing licence as far as i've heard - that would be a last resort i think, if they thought Leeds were going into administration just to stick two fingers up at their creditors. Let's hope it doesn't get to that point.

All clubs have their rubbish "supporter" element, and i'll admit that the worst of Leeds' is worse than most.

But they're also a great club with a lot of history. I think the League would be a poorer place without them. The scum who tarnish their reputation would just go somewhere else.

Sammy - haven't caught the lastest news, but i think they've agreed something. Will be watching at 10pm for more details!

 

To be fair to Leeds, Elland Road was never as bad as the Dell used to be At least the W Yorks police make some attempt to appear neutral

IMO It doesn't really matter who puts money in now, Leeds are going to drop, they might even do a City and drop twice in two years. The morale problem is the biggest thing any new backer is going to have to get a grip on. I'm afraid Mr Ridsdale raped you up the bum & left you for dead folks

BTW If it's any consolation, Spurs proved that no bank's board is going to dissolve a Premiership football club. They all remember what happened to Rupert Murdoch's papers after Hillsborough (You still can't buy The Sun in some parts of Liverpool, & rightly so[img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img])

 

You certainly can't judge a club on a small dose of their supporters. Agreed that Leeds do not have an entirely brilliant reputation, but I was shocked to see on a program about football hooligans and organised thug units that one of the ringleaders paraded around as a Villa fan. We have a reputation of being some of the nicest sets of fans in the Leagues too.

It is never nice to hear of a club going this way, hope it picks up.
