Its so unfair......
lets face it the Saxo doesn't sound 1/2 as good
There isn't anything too controversial in my post: my car does 100mph in 13s no problem and it kind of goes without saying that a good hot-hatch is more raw, involving and fun than the sure footed scooby
There's pro's and con's of doing both routes. (working or uni first then working).
I left school at 16 having f**ked about for 2-3 years and getting mediocer higher results (sort of A levels for scotland but not quite).
I decided that as i didnt know what i wanted to do id get a trade as there always good to fall back on in hard times. I then spent 3 years as an appretice electrician slogging my guts out working whatever hourse i could to earn money. I got graded as an electrician and because i had a modicum of intelegence and was doing well at college, the company took me into the office and put me through 3 HNC's. (Electrical eng, process eng, and business management)
The Job was OK and i was getting paid decently enough to buy my scooby and have money to do what i want.
But things change and i finally figured out what i want to do at 23. (Early for some, late for others) And have spent the last year and a bit trying to get a job in the field i want.
Supprise supprise, as seems to be the way of the world at the moment experience (initially at least) is ignored and most of the companys wont even bother to speak to me unless ive got a good (2:1 minimum) degree.
So at the ripe old age 25 im off to Uni. Scoobys been sold (At a big loss i might add, Thank to everyone selling scooby stupidy cheaply) and im going to spend the next 5 years in complete poverty and finish with huge debts (More than my current sallarie!!)
Still im just gambling that all this will pay off (both job wise and financially when im done)
But after my really long winded example, theres a lot more to life than money. I for one am going all out for a job i love (not one that pays well but i hate) and falure will not be an option!!

Simple question :
You advertised a job and have 100 replies and you know you can only interview 10. Would you take a degree into consideration while filtering. I know that all the organisations I have worked for do.
Just remember everyone is born unqualified
edited because mine was a typing or english degree
