OK I found out some more infor about the go-karting.
RADOTIN - very profesional INDOOR arena, we can have 1 hour exclusive use for about 350 GBP = 490 EURO. They probably won't give me any discout (the owners are not all that nice ) We can do waht we want within that hour, endurace (not for me thank you for an hour !!!!!! ) or races. They will time us and give time sheets at the end.
DZBAN - (Hakon this is where we went last year) OUTSIDE arena, very nice and helpful owners and can get some dicout. Standard prices are about 214 GBP = 299 EURO for 1 hour, same as in Radotin.
Or we can just get 10 or 20 minutes NOT exclusive use.
I guess it really depends on how many people come.
You decide

I usually driving ten or twenty mins + next 20 min I have a rest. (drinking, eating etc.).
You are right. Program depends on how many peoples will count our Subaru group.

Kate, cant remember the name of the one last year but it was towards the airport.
I also tried to book carting at radotin once before for a stag party and they double booked us with another group, bloody useless !
I think the 10 min sessions are fine as its very hot in there (old greenhouse) and the steering is seriously heavy. Oh, bring gloves.

OK so shall we just book or 20 minutes? And which one?
Indoors or outdoors? For that time we won't have exclusive use but I guess that doesn't matter really, does it?

Good idea about the Prague meet, unfortunatly yet again I won't be able to make it as I will be in the US on the 31 August.
Just a little word of caution in terms of insurance the Czech Republic is usually an excluded country in terms of insurance and green cards etc. It is on my insurance and green card.
Apparently, if you have something of high value or high performance and you park it in a street somewhere, i.e. not park garage, the car will be gone before your back is turned, in broad daylight and in the middle of a festival and no one will have seen a thing.
Which is exactly what happened to a guy I work with. He had a 2 year old Passat 20V pinched within minutes of parking it. The reason he new it was minutes, is becuase he went back to get something!
The sting in the tail was, that after contacting the police and getting a report etc for his insurance and then buying a train ticket to go home. On arriving home, he contacted his insurnace company and they told him to swivel cos he wasn't covered.
20000 Euros down the bog and not a leg to stand on!!! I think he physically threw up when he found out!!!
So Al (BMWhere), if your going then maybe I should buy those shares in Fujitsu Heavy Industries after all, cos you maybe on your 3rd new STI very soon.

Just a quickie regarding the meeting place,, The Mc Donald's is only accessible if you are on the motorway to Prague. If coming from Prague there is an exit very close by that allows a turn around.

For the Germans: If you want to stay in Prague, there is a place near me which i have used for friends etc and is only 4 stops on the tube into town and it has garage parking (safe) which i used for some time. Its new, clean, and very reasonably priced. www.jir.de

That sounds like a good plan, as I'm still a bit worried about my Scoob vanishing . Anyone from sausage-land fancy organising this? I'm up to my eyeballs in Ferrari stuff at the mo...

So shall we meet on 31.8. at the services said before? Or do you Czech people have a better suggestion?
What time? 11:0, 12:00, 13:00 ????
I called both of the Go-Karting places and they said that it's not all that necessary to book in advance. Or we can just do it a day before or something.
We leave UK next weekend and won't really be able to go on internet after that.
Mail me if you want my mobile number.
Thanks
Kate
